I currently work full time but I live very close to my work so I am home at lunch time to check on things and give a potty break. I have no long commute or traffic to worry about. On the weekends, I stay in the area or take pups out for hikes!

A typical day
For boarding: I do NOT have a fenced yard but I have plenty of access to grassy areas where we can hang out on a longer leash. Your dog will have a minimum of 3 bathroom breaks/walks per day, ~20 minutes each and 1 long (45-60 min) walk per day. We love walking the trails at local parks. If your dog likes going for car rides, they will be joining us too! (weather-dependent, of course)

Hi there! I'm a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve volunteered at animal shelters throughout my life and have personally adopted 6 dogs, 5 rats, 1 cat, and even a chinchilla—each one bringing joy and unforgettable memories. Currently, I share my home with my sweet pup, Xena. I’m patient, attentive, and quick to adapt to each pet’s unique needs. I have strong knowledge of dog training, behavior, and wellness, and I’m comfortable caring for dogs with medical needs or special quirks. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or structured care, your dog will be in loving, capable hands with me.

Pakuna was wonderful and took great care of our kitties. They don’t have complicated meds but they require special care and she was friendly in our meet and greet, took great notes, followed instructions, and sent great pictures and notes throughout the visit. Pakuna took great care of our dog! Our dog was happy and healthy when we picked her up after boarding. She got lots of walks and lots of attention. Our dog has tons of health issues and restrictions, but Pakuna handled everything perfectly. She is thorough and pays attention to dog behavior very well. She will be our first choice for boarding from now on 😊
Pakuna was wonderful with my pup, and offered to cancel payment for a visit when they were unable to be there at the requested time. They were immediately responsive to this nervous dog-mom who was using Rover for the very first time. I wish the app could let me give an extra half point for the responsiveness and excellent communication.
Pakuna took extremely good care of our dog Ruby. Pakuna kept us well informed, sending us daily notes and photos. Ruby was clearly very comfortable with her and her dog. Upon returning, Ruby was happy to see us but was clearly at home and happy to be with Pakuna. We would leave Ruby with Pakuna in the future, should we have further need.
