Paige's Pet-Sitting

I'm a proud cat and dog lady, living in Sunnyside/ Long Island City, Queens. My apartment is spacious and comfortable - guest pets can curl up on the couch, on my bed, or anyplace else they like! I have oodles of treats, baskets of cat and dog toys and stacks of cozy blankets. My pets are gracious hosts and are accustomed to having visitors. I have been taking care of animals for most of my life; I have been on Rover since 2016. I encourage new guests to stop by for a meet-and-greet before their first booking. If you are looking for a loving home away from home for your dog, cat, bird, bunny or turtle, I'm here for you!

Paige was great with Hazel. She was a very responsible dog sitter and great communicator. She made sure she was comfortable, warm and having good time.

Paige was great with my high maintenance puppy during a 10 day stay! Very responsive and sent me updates throughout my vacation.

Friend stayed with Paige for over a week while we were away and he had a great time! It was great to get daily pictures and updates on how he was doing. Paige was great with Friend and all of his puppy energy- it made being away easier knowing he was getting such great care.

This was the very first time I spent nights away from my dog Darcy since adopting her, and I'm so glad I found Paige! I was so nervous and Paige put me immediately at ease. She will treat your dog like her own, giving them plenty of love, care and snuggles. She's flexible, knowledgeable and helpful. After six days, Darcy was sad to leave Paige and her adorable dog Milky, but I know she will see them soon! Couldn't be happier!

Paige took excellent care of my little fur baby, Cookie. It’s why I sought her out a second time to care for Cookie while I went away on a five day trip. She periodically provided updates which also included pictures. I highly recommend her!!

Safety, trust & environment

My pets are house-trained; my dog gets two walks per day, and I dedicate a full hour each day to play-time with my pets (my youngest cat has lots of energy and will keep me up all night unless I tire her out!). How I care for my clients’ pets depends on their specific needs; at a minimum, I provide the same level of care for them that I give my own pets. As a caregiver, l aim to provide pets with a stable and safe environment, and to avoid interrupting their routines, to minimize the pet’s stress levels while their parents are away.

Pets

A typical day

I love to take long walks and go to nearby dog parks (there is an amazing dog beach in Astoria park that I sometimes go to with my dog). Fetch, snuggles, whatever activity my clients enjoy- you name it, I’ve done it!

My dog gets along with all breeds, but I have found that she gets a bit tired and overwhelmed by very large, playful dogs (my dog likes to wrestle and play, but she tires easily).
