Pet care experience

Local Rescue Foster Coordinator

Hi! I’m a stay-at-home mom looking to earn extra income doing something I truly love... caring for animals. I’m honest, dependable, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life and currently have two dogs and four cats (including three foster fails) who are loved members of our family. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, including young puppies, newborn kittens, senior pets, and animals with medical or special needs. I serve as the Volunteer Foster Coordinator and Board Treasurer for Hub City Humane Society, where I work closely with foster families and rescue animals every day. It’s common for me to have six or more foster kittens in my home waiting for their forever families. I’m often the go-to foster for momma cats and their litters, spending 2–3 months helping each family grow, heal, and prepare for adoption. Through fostering, I’ve gained hands-on experience with bottle feeding, tube feeding neonatal kittens, administering medications, socializing shy or fearful pets, and providing supportive care for sick or underweight animals. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, so I prioritize communication and will keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away. Whether your pet needs drop-in visits, walks, feeding, medication, or simply some extra love and attention, I’d be honored to help care for them.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and trust are my top priorities. I understand that allowing someone into your home and trusting them with your pets is a big responsibility, and I don’t take that trust lightly. I strive to make both pets and owners feel comfortable by providing dependable care, respecting your home, and treating every animal with the same patience, attention, and love I would want for my own pets.

Paige is always, reliable, consistent, and thorough. She pleasantly does extras like bringing in the mail and garbage cans. My cats love her. I’m very thankful for Paige!

Paige is the perfect pet caregiver! We hired Paige to take care of our 3 cats in our home by visiting them daily for 6 days. She kept in daily communication with me and sent photos of each cat daily with an update on how they were doing. It was a relief to know my dear cats were totally cared for and able to stay at home. Paige did an excellent job and gave us peace of mind.

Schedule

My schedule is fairly flexible throughout the week and on weekends. I do ask for at least a day’s notice when possible so I can plan visits around my children’s schedule, but I understand that things come up and I can occasionally accommodate last-minute requests when my availability allows. The more notice I have, the better I can make sure your pet receives the time and attention they deserve.

Please let me know about any medical needs, medications, behavioral concerns, or special care instructions your pet may have, as well as your preferred veterinarian and emergency contact information. I welcome pets of all breeds and do not discriminate based on breed. My priority is making sure each pet is comfortable, safe, and a good fit for the type of care I provide. Instead of focusing on breed, I pay attention to how well a pet responds to being cared for by someone other than their owner. Because my children (ages 6y, 3y, and 1y) may accompany me on some visits, it is important that I know ahead of time if your pet is uncomfortable around young children, has anxiety around new people, or has any behaviors I should be aware of. Being upfront about your pet’s needs helps me create the safest and most positive experience for everyone involved.
