I work full time from home in a small, quiet and peaceful home. I can step away at any time to tend to any needs or let a dog out to go potty. I am fine with boarding (not super noisy) dogs during my weekday work hours (I am on the phone a lot and need quiet). As for the weekends, anyone is welcome. :) I only board one dog at a time -- that way, I can focus on them 100% and make it feel like a vacation home instead of a boarding kennel!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced in yard with two friendly rescue dogs who would love to meet your furkid. If you don't trust your dog to stay within the fencing / try to escape (I foster... I'm used to escape artists!), just let me know. I have a tether to keep them secure in the yard. My home is small and free-roam, but I have the means to give your dog a smaller, private area if they are a nervous dog and need a confined space. To ensure the comfort of both you and your pet, I perform meet and greets in my home so you can get an idea of the place your dog will be staying. I also like to do "test" sleepovers for some dogs to make sure they are a good fit to be in my care before either of us commit to a long term stay. 😊 It gives both of us peace of mind and allows your dog to get comfortable with me and my home without any long-term pressure. If I feel that I’m not the best fit for your pet, I’ll be upfront about it — I’d rather be honest, even if it means turning a dog away and losing out on business. Ultimately, I want what's best for your pet and will always prioritize their comfort, even if that means recommending another sitter. 💜

Information Paige H. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know about any known behavioral issues your dog has. It's good for me to know (and trust me, I've seen it all!) This would be things like food aggression, resource guarding, separation anxiety, etc. Please let me know if your dog has any special medical needs such as shots or pills. Please let me know if your dog has any sort of bathroom schedule when at home -- this way we can avoid accidents as best as we can!

A typical day

This is a quiet household. So, a typical day is very peaceful and the home is as calming as it can be due to my own very anxious animals. I wake up early and am on a simple and consistent daily schedule. It's a paradise for nervous or antisocial dogs -- as well as the old guys who just want to snooze all day and get loved on!

Rescue Volunteer & Foster Mom

Pet care experience

Hi, nice to meet you! My name's Paige. All of my dog experience comes from working with several rescue organizations, through which I have fostered difficult dogs to give them a safe place to recover from the traumas they have gone through with puppy mills, backyard breeders, and other abuse situations. Because of this, I have a lot of behavioral knowhow when it comes to nervous and frightened dogs, as well as elderly and special needs dogs. 😊 I take pride in respecting animals as individuals with different personalities and needs. No dog is the same!

Paige took excellent care of our buddy and he came home happy and relaxed! She was so kind to send us lots of pictures and updates and I'm sure Rocky would love to come visit her in the future. Thanks Paige!

Riley treated like it's his home. Not to sure he wanted to leave. Big back yard. Highly recommend.
