Hi! I’m Orla - originally from Sydney, Australia, I work full time as a Data & Insights Manager for a Bank and spend my spare time hanging around the Islington area where I live, going for walks and exercising or enjoying all the pubs and restaurants of the area with my boyfriend. I have a genuine love for animals and lots of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I grew up with my Labrador, Macey, who’s been part of my life since I was 17 - and recently since living so far from home, I’ve been wanting to get more involved with animals and be around them again. I absolutely love animals and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I’ve regularly looked after pets for friends, including caring for my friend’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for a month at a time. I’m confident with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, cuddles, and sticking closely to a pet’s usual schedule so they feel relaxed and secure. I’m calm, patient, and very attentive to animals’ needs and personalities - whether that’s an energetic dog who loves long walks or a cat who prefers quiet company and routine. I truly love all animals and take pride in treating every pet as if they were my own. Safety, trust & environment
I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment, but if a pet owner wanted me to bring their pet to my house, I have a fenced yard and a private and extra large garden, so large it’s quite rare for London/the area. Depending on the pet’s usual routine, they would be allowed inside, although if staying over I’d keep the pet in another room and not on or in my bed given my partner wouldn’t be comfortable with it. If I was to house sit or stay over at the pet owners home, I’m happy to fit into any routine that is normal for the pet. For example - when taking care of my friend’s King Charles Cavalier, he was used to sleeping in the bed with the owner so of course I allowed that.

This was the second time Orla look after Godi, and it won't be the last. Orla is great at communicating, very responsive and reliable. Godi can be nervous and shy, and Orla did great at managing this by being patient, using treats wisely and taking her for walks during the day. Thank you Orla!

If you want someone to take care of your dog as well as you do then pick Orla! Our dog, John, gets so excited every time he sees her which completely removes the guilt of having to leave him. She’s super kind, takes him for long walks and always sends a little pic to keep us updated. I’d love to gate keep her but we’re not away that much and I can see how much she loves having a pooch to trot around with 🐶

Schedule
I currently work full-time in a hybrid work environment - so I work out of my home in Islington 3 times per week and am in the office 2 times per week. I’m around on weekends and in the mornings and evenings.
