I work 80 hours a week but I get three days off a week. It’s either spent greeting the dogs as they come in with their owners or in the back playing with them with their friends in the group that they’re with. I also clean up any messes that can happen.

When I am house sitting, I make sure to have very good communication with the owners. If I am coming back to watch them again, I make sure to ask if the dogs have had any changes since the last time I have been there. Whenever I do go out if I need to do something, I will ask the owners if it is okay if I take the dogs on a car ride or take them to the park to get out of the house for a little while and adventure. I always make sure the dogs are okay and if I notice anything off I immediately let the owners know. I enjoy spending time with dogs and seeing how different they are at home compared to a dog daycare.

Please let me know if any medical issues that they currently have. Also let me know of any behaviors they have had in the past or recent present. I will not bring anyone into the environment apart from myself but it is good to know almost everything I can about any pet I am going to be with for an extended period of time while the owners are away!
A typical day
I typically try to keep the same routine as their owners if I can but if I’m unable to I make up for it by giving them plenty of time outside and playing tug of war, fetch, etc!

Pet care experience
I have worked at a dog daycare for seven years now. I have worked from small tiny puppies all the way up to Great Danes and Newfoundlands. I also am no stranger to giving dogs medicines or injections if they have diabetes. I am very comfortable around any type, breed, or size of dog!

Opal is my go-to girl! Highly recommended, she's great with big dogs, little dogs, yappy dogs, cry baby dogs like mine and my 90 lb red nose pitbull is always happy to see Opal! She probably gets more cuddles than she does from me!
Opal is the best of the best! I trust her completely with my dog, and Jojo absolutely adores her and is always happy to see her because she knows she's going to get cuddles, walks, playtime and she knows she's going to get to sleep under the covers! Highly recommend, she will treat your house with respect and care, will go above and beyond each and every time! Anyone who does not give her five stars does not deserve Opal!
