Pet care experience

Licensed Cheese Tax Professional

Hello! My name is Oona and I provide dedicated, distraction free pet care tailored to your animal's unique routine. Since my current apartment building doesn't allow pets, I am using Rover purely for the joy of spending time with animals! I deeply miss having a furry companion around, so your pet will truly be treated like my own. I have over 20 years of pet care experience encompassing both high energy dogs and cats. Growing up, I raised and trained a Blue Heeler mix and a Golden Retriever/Gordon Setter mix, giving me deep expertise in handling large breeds with intense working, herding, and hunting instincts. I am highly skilled in leash control, behavior management, and providing the physical and mental stimulation active dogs need. In addition to dogs, I am incredibly comfortable with cats. I owned a house cat throughout college and for several years afterward, and I regularly provide drop in care and house sitting for friends' felines. I understand feline body language, respect their boundaries, and am experienced with litter box maintenance, structured playtime, and feeding routines. Whether your pet is a high energy pup who needs a long walk or a shy cat who needs a patient companion, I provide a calm, distraction free environment tailored to their exact routine. My Specialty Skills: • Large & High Energy Dogs: Expert at managing strong, active, working breeds. • Feline Companion Care: Experienced with cat routines, boundaries, and playtime. • Leash Control and Safety: Confident handling strong pullers in busy environments. • Distraction Free Focus: Dedicated care with no resident kids or pets of my own. I can’t wait to meet your pets!

Safety, trust & environment

Your home and your pet are in safe, responsible hands. When house sitting, I treat your property with the utmost respect ensuring doors are locked, alarms are set, and your space is kept pristine. Because I do not have pets of my own right now, your animal will never face territorial behavior or stress from resident pets. My focus is 100% on them. During outdoor walks, I maintain a strict on-leash policy, avoid interactions with unknown dogs, and stay highly alert to the surrounding environment to prevent any risks. I am highly attentive to behavioral cues, respect feline boundaries, and maintain a clear emergency plan with a 24/7 veterinary clinic local to your area. I will always keep you updated with frequent photos and peace of mind messages throughout my visits!

To ensure your pet has a safe, comfortable, and stress free experience, please share any specific behavioral quirks, medical needs, or unique routines before our first booking. For dogs, please include their history with leash pulling, reactivity to other animals, or any specific triggers on walks. For cats, please let me know their comfort level with new people and where they prefer to hide if they feel shy. Please also share details regarding their exact feeding schedules, dietary restrictions, and any separation anxiety behaviors. Having this information upfront allows me to seamlessly mirror your home routine and keep your pet feeling secure and loved while you are away.
