Omar house sat for us, our 7 year old Saint Bernard, and 2 cats while we vacationed for a week. He went above and beyond to make sure we came home to a clean house. He wiped paws on rainy days, brought a fur vaccum, and even trimmed our dog's paw hairs. We received daily updates with photos of our pets. My dog has had trauma with other dogs, and has some behavioral quirks-but Omar was able to shut down any negative behaviors safely and without hesitation. We were honest with him about our dog's situation and his experience with large and stubborn dogs bolstered our confidence in his ability to handle our pup when he came for a meet & greet. We were so lucky to have found and booked him. I would absolutely book his services again and we could tell our pets were well taken care of the entirety of our absence. I'd recommend him to anyone with big stubborn pups, or furry friends that need an authority figure to exude best behavior. A typical day
House Sitting (overnight in your home) This is a sample—I follow your routine and cues. 6:30–7:30 AM — Morning start. Quick potty break or an easy neighborhood walk (nice, sniff-heavy pace). Fresh water, breakfast, meds as needed. Paws and bowls get a quick wipe. Late AM — Enrichment + chill. A food puzzle/Kong or a few training reps (sit, down, place). Cats get wand/laser time and a tidy litter scoop. Midday — Check-in. Potty break or short walk, water top-off, quick yard check. I send a Rover Card with time-stamped notes + photos. Afternoon — Quiet hours. Curtains/blinds how you like them; light tidy-up from pet care. Evening — Prime activity. Longer walk/fetch/flirt-pole depending on energy. Dinner/meds, then a calm wind-down. Night — Settle in. Final potty break, doors/lights per your instructions, cuddles if invited, and a last photo update. Drop-Ins / Dog Walking 30-min drop-in: potty, meal/water refresh, litter scoop, a focused play or enrichment block, then pics + notes. 30-min walk: warm-up, purposeful walk with sniff time, water check and paw wipe on return, plus a photo. --- What fun activities will you do with the pets you watch? I match the fun to each pet’s age, energy, and your vet/owner notes: Dogs Sniffari walks: slower, nose-led routes for real mental work. Fetch with structure: short sets, water breaks, end on a calm “place.” Flirt-pole play: great for big dogs; start/stop cues to practice impulse control. Training games: hand-target, name game, sit/down/stay, polite doorways, recall (long line if needed). Scent work & treat hunts: “find it” indoors or in the yard. Puzzles & lick mats: perfect for bad-weather days. Omaha weather-smart: early/late walks in heat; winter paw checks and safe, salted routes when it’s icy. Cats Interactive play: feather wand “hunt,” quick laser sessions, toss-and-pounce toys. Foraging/puzzles: slow-feeders or snuffle mats. Cozy time: window “bird TV,” brushing if they’re into it, gentle hang-outs for shy kitties. Seniors/low-energy pals Short, frequent outings with plenty of sniff time. Low-impact enrichment: nose games, gentle massage, raised bowls/ramps if you have them. Routine first: meds and schedule kept the way you like it. Safety & updates Solid leash/door control, no dog parks unless you request and your pup is a regular, weather checks, fresh water every visit. Every visit/overnight comes with a Rover Card—time-stamped notes, photos, and a quick summary.
