Fenced-In Mountain Retreat
I've been with my rescue shepherd mix, Tejo, for the last five years. In that time, I have also fostered many dogs for Twin Cities Pet Rescue, from a variety of ages and with different needs. Tejo loves other dogs and matches energy levels well; weather it's chasing around a 1 year old pup, or couch chillin' with a mature senior dog, Tejo is ready to vibe with your canine friend.

Omar is an amazing dog sitter. He has a calming and clear energy and I could tell that my dog was very comfortable around him. He works from home so a great companion for any dogs with separation anxiety. His dog Tejo is a sweetie - playful & kind. Omar sent multiple photos a day and was so nice to have the check ins. I would absolutely book with Omar again!
Omar watched our Jack Russell terrier for a couple days. We were kept updated the whole time being sent lots of fun pics of our pup Geo and Tejo, Omar’s dog. Living in the mountains comes with challenges when trying to find a dog sitter, Omar is the exception to this. Would absolutely recommend.
I can't imagine anyone doing a better job than Omar. He took our dog hiking a few times while he kept her. He also sent pics and updates every day which let us know she was having a great time. We appreciate it and highly recommend.
omar was great and my dog loved playing with Tejo!! Very responsive and flexible with picking up and dropping off.

Schedule
I work from home fulltime, Monday - Friday, with plenty of time to give attention to your pup(s). If I do leave home, it's typically to hike the trails with my pup Tejo. On weekdays, we do a 2 mile walk from my home at Noon, everyday. On weekends, we are typically out on the trails or finding lakes to splash in. If I do have to be away, I am rarely gone for more than 3 hours at a time. I can crate your dog, keep our dogs separate, or allow them to both relax on the couch together as you request.

Safety, trust & environment
I have an acre fenced in and the front door has a doggie door that we can show your pup how to use. We keep it open only during the day and in fair weather. Small dogs, 25 pounds and under, will only be outside with supervision, or as requested. Your pup will always be on leash outside of our yard. Tejo and I take a daily 2 mile lunch walk on the trails near my house - we can adjust the length and time of the walk depending on your dog's needs.

A typical day
Our cabin is on an acre of fenced in land for your pup and my pup (Tejo) to run and play. I can teach your dog how to use the doggie doors, which will be only open while I am home. I work from home and am constantly taking 15-20 minute breaks to play fetch. I typically take the dog on a 2-mile walk during lunch (from 11:30 - 12:45PM) on the trails of Roosevelt National Forest, just outside my door. I work from home during the week and will guarantee I will be home every night your dog is in my care.
