New to the DMV area but, not new to animal care! I’m very animal oriented and attuned to what they feel. Their health is my priority and their happiness follows closely behind. Pet care is my full time business.

Information Olympia L. would like to know about your pet
The more info you can give me the better! 1. Can you tell me about your dog's daily routine and habits? 2. What is your dog's personality like? Are there any specific behaviors I should be aware of? 3. What does your dog enjoy doing the most? Any favorite toys or activities? 4. Can I provide treats I bring from home? 5. Any medical conditions? Allergies? 6. What is your dog's regular diet and feeding schedule? 7. Are there any specific triggers or situations that your dog reacts strongly to? 8. How does your dog typically interact with other dogs or animals?
A typical day
I’m happy to engage the pets I care for in play, enrichment activities, training, grooming and even snuggles! Each animal has different needs and I am determined to provide what each fur baby needs, individually.

Pet care experience
I'm a huge animal lover who aspires to help pets and their people live healthier happier lives! In 2023 I provided my services at a cow sanctuary in rural Western NY, where I cared for several cows, a blind horse, and barn cats while also developing animal training skills. At the start of 2024, I moved to VA where I’ve been gaining experience with much smaller and more urban animals. Regardless of their size, when caring for animals, their physical well-being is my top priority. I monitor gates, body language, and eliminations for any concerns. If I detect anxiety, I adjust my pace to understand and meet your pet’s needs. I play and cuddle with those who enjoy it or simply sit nearby for companionship as building trust is essential in my approach to animal care! Rover was my full-time gig, allowing for last-minute and holiday sits, but I'm now also working as an animal caretaker outside of Rover, which limits my availability. I would appreciate two weeks notice for all bookings but please, check my schedule as I keep it updated regularly! Thank you so much for your interest, I look forward to caring for your home and your fur-babies!

Reviews

I can always trust Olympia to take good care of my dog Pluto!

Olympia was so terrific with our dog Romy. From the moment we met her, she was very empathetic to our young puppy's needs and her professionalism and kindness put us immediately at ease. She was very communicative and caring during our trip and we knew Romy was in great hands. We would highly recommend her. Thanks Olympia!

Olympia was great with Pluto! She follows instructions and kept me updated throughout the evening. Would definitely recommend her!

Great with our dog with separation anxiety! Thanks Olympia!
