I work full-time as a Patient Care Assistant at a veterinary referral hospital on a rolling rota, so I always know my schedule well in advance. My shifts are a mixture of 7am–5pm, 8am–6pm and 11am–9pm, including one weekend in every four. This means my availability changes each week, but I’m happy to arrange regular or one-off bookings with advance notice wherever possible.

Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. As a Patient Care Assistant, I’m experienced in caring for dogs and cats of all ages, including those with medical conditions or special requirements. I will always follow your pet’s normal routine, provide fresh food and water, administer medication if required, and ensure they have plenty of love and attention. I treat every home with respect, keep it clean and secure, and will happily send regular photo and video updates so you know your pet is happy while you’re away. I don’t offer boarding in my own home, so all care takes place in your home or out on walks.

Before looking after your pet, I’d love to know as much as possible about them. Please let me know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, favourite toys or treats, any medical conditions or medications, allergies, behavioural quirks, fears, and how they interact with other people or animals. For dogs, it’s also helpful to know about their lead manners, recall, and whether they’re comfortable around traffic or other dogs. The more I know, the better I can provide care that’s tailored specifically to them.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor my care to suit their personality and needs. Whether your dog enjoys long countryside walks, a gentle stroll around the neighbourhood, playing fetch in a secure area, or simply lots of fuss and company at home, I’ll make sure they have a fun and enriching day. For cats, I’m happy to spend time playing, grooming, cuddling (if they enjoy it!), and making sure they’re comfortable and settled. My goal is for your pet to feel relaxed, safe and cared for while you’re away.

Hi, I’m Liv! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’m lucky enough to work with them every day as a Patient Care Assistant at a specialist veterinary referral hospital. I also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management, giving me a strong foundation in animal behaviour, welfare and husbandry. Through my role, I’ve gained experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and temperaments, including those recovering from surgery, requiring medication or needing a little extra patience and care. I’m also RECOVER CPR trained, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in capable hands should an emergency ever arise. At home, I have my cat, Romeo, and I also own a horse, so I understand just how much our pets mean to us. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust, and I promise to care for your pets as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime or simply some company while you’re away, I’ll tailor my care to their individual routine and personality.
