Pet care experience
Dog-Obsessed, WFH Sitter🐶💗
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, especially French Bulldogs, and have experience caring for animals of all kinds, from dogs and cats to hamsters, fish, and even horses. I also volunteered at a dog rescue in Chicago for about a year, so I’m very comfortable with dogs who are shy, nervous, need patience, or simply take a little extra time to warm up. I currently have a very friendly French Bulldog of my own, so I’m especially familiar with dogs who need a little extra attention or have health considerations. He recently had spinal surgery, which has given me firsthand experience with giving medication, following restrictions, keeping up with special care instructions, and being extra attentive to a dog’s comfort and mobility. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, personalities, and energy levels. Whether your dog wants three long walks a day and nonstop playtime or would rather curl up on the couch and get attention, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I genuinely love having animals around and treat every dog in my care like they’re my own.

Olivia is one of the most caring humans when it comes to all animals. She is responsible and caring! Highly recommend her for this job!
She is the most caring animal loving person I know. She calls bird rescue when she sees injured birds. 10/10 animal care and niceness for sure.

Schedule
I work from home full-time, which makes my schedule extremely flexible and allows me to give pets a lot of attention throughout the day. Your dog will not be left alone for long stretches while I’m at work. I’m able to take multiple walks throughout the day, accommodate different potty schedules, give medications or additional care when needed, and adjust my routine around your dog’s normal schedule. I’m also very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times and will do my best to make things as easy and convenient as possible for you. I have an elevator and potty area in my building so no need for stairs/going far!

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I want every dog to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while they’re with me. My dog is extremely friendly and would love to keep them company, but I’m also happy to give dogs their own space and alone time whenever they need it. I’m able to completely separate a dog if needed and care for them that way! I’m very attentive to each dog’s personality, routine, and individual needs, including medications, dietary restrictions, anxiety, or other special care. Dogs are welcome on the couch and in my bed, and since I work from home, they’ll get plenty of attention, supervision, and love throughout the day. I’m willing to send photo updates throughout the stay, usually one update every 4-5 hours, so you can feel at ease knowing everything is going okay!

A typical day
My day usually starts with a morning walk with my dog before it gets too hot, followed by breakfast and some work while the dogs hang out with me. We’ll usually take another walk around lunch, and if the weather isn’t cooperating, I’m happy to play inside or just relax with them while I work. I’ll take them out again in the afternoon and around dinner for another walk or potty break. Outside of work, I love being active and outdoors, whether that’s hiking, walking, fishing, or just exploring, and I’m always happy to have a dog along!!

- Helpful things to know include their normal feeding and potty schedule, energy level, favorite activities and toys, sleeping habits, medications or health concerns, dietary restrictions, allergies, triggers, fears, and how they typically interact with other dogs and people. Please also let me know if there are any behaviors or quirks I should be aware of. Nothing is too small to mention! I’d much rather know everything upfront so I can give your dog the safest, happiest, and most comfortable experience possible.
