Availability

I work from home full time, making my schedule very flexible. When I do go out, which I aim to limit to 4 hours max at a time, I make sure all the dogs I board are safely comfortable and separated so that they can relax and no issues arise when I am out. I also have a pet camera to keep an eye on them.

Safety, trust & environment

I will treat your pup as if they are my own! I am a very careful dogsitter and make sure that the apartment is clean and safe and void of any hazards they could chew on. I also make sure that dogs have their own space to eat so that no resource guarding or growling occurs between pups. When I bring a new dog in, I introduce the other dogs to them one by one and very carefully evaluate each dogs’ relationships to make sure that they will be safe together. I also will never leave 2 dogs alone together, they will be separated safely and comfortably. On walks, I am extremely aware of all bikes and cars around (but let’s face it, it’s mostly bikes we need to be careful of) and I keep the pups on a tight leash where I see fit. Luckily, Prospect Park allows a great safe walking area for your pup to safely sniff some grass and chase some squirrels (all while on leash of course). Above all else, the health of your dog is the most important thing to me, and I will be in close contact should anything like tummy issues or any other concerns come up to make sure they are handled exactly as you’d like.

Information Olivia R. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know what the dog enjoys doing as well as what the dog does not like. If there is something that scares the dog or makes them aggressive, I would like to know that. I would need to know all the basic information such as feeding schedule and what they eat, length and type of walk needed, and how they socialize with other dogs.

A typical day

Lots and lots of walks, treats, playtime and snuggle time! I truly do my best to adjust to each individual dog and do what they most love to do, all while following the schedule that you lay out for me. I am very flexible in my day and just want to make sure your dog has the best time possible. And over Christmas time I even bake dog safe Christmas cookies!

Pet care experience

CPR and Pet First Aid Certified by WaggyTail Rescue. I welcome multiple dogs in my home at a time, so please be sure that’s a good fit for your pup before reaching out 🙂. In my 16 years of professional dog caregiving, I have always found I can use a new four legged friend! I work from home in NYC with my own pup, a toy poodle/coton de tulear mix named Elle Woofs, and we both absolutely love getting to know new pups! I started dog walking and dogsitting at the age of 10 for my neighbors in the Chicago suburbs and soon was the go to sitter of the block! I love playing with dogs, taking them to the park if that’s your preference, and taking nice walks around Park Slope and along Prospect Park. I consider myself to have a great “dog-tuition” (aka, dog intuition), and can effectively communicate with pups to know what they need to keep their tails wagging!

Olivia was a 10/10 rover. She watched my dog Mika while I was at work. She was quick to respond to any of my messages, she provided updates and photos throughout the day, and she provided Mika with toys, walks, and treats to keep her happy and busy. I would highly recommend Olivia! She was great.

Olivia was amazing and very accommodating to the many needs of my super senior pup. I felt like he was in great hands while I traveled and that means everything. He was calm happy and well fed when I picked him up. What more could I ask for. Thank you.
