Pet care experience

Active couple with a bouncy dog

Both Max and I have grown up with dogs. I used to specialise in dog-sitting for high risk/disabled animals so am confident with administering many types of drugs. Many of my families dogs have been either nervous rescues or reactive so we are very used to dealing with behavioural struggles. We are happy to meet any training or structural needs of the dog and will keep you up to date if you have any worries.

Liv was amazing! So laid back and gave me the best updates and communication for my dog Otto. I was anxious leaving him as I hadn’t left him with people before but had a wedding I needed to attend and I felt so at ease knowing he was in good hands. Otto was that at home with Liv he was even asleep with his belly on show! Couldn't recommend Liv enough and would defo book her again if I was to ever need it!

Hazel stayed with Olivia for a few hours one day while we were on holiday. She seemed to enjoy it with their dog and I would use again if visiting Cornwall again.

Liv is absolutely incredible, we are so lucky to have found her for looking after Arlo. We needed a sitter last minute for Arlo and Liv was able to have him for the day. She is so brilliant with him, and her dog Ripley is incredibly tolerant and kind with my very playful and can be annoying dog! We have booked Liv already for our holiday and weekend away this year, Arlo is so happy there and we get lots of lovely videos of him playing and snuggling up for a nap! Would 100% recommend Liv, Max and Ripley, we are so glad we found them.

Our first time using Rover, we were a little apprehensive but Olivia put us at complete ease. We had lots of regular updates with photos and it looked like our dog had loads of fun. We would use Olivia again and we would HIGHLY recommend her and her partner for looking after your dog! 5 star service - thanks again! Barney

We were on holiday in the area, and wanted a dog-free day to do some water sports. Olivia was great! Very flexible, friendly, and sent regular updates. Definitely recommend! We will certainly message Olivia when we are back in the area next year 😊

Schedule

I (Liv) work full time from home, and Max works varied days so one of us is usually always at home. Our dog can be left for around 2 hours so occasionally we’ll go out, but with new dogs or anxious dogs we wouldn’t be leaving them home alone.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

We have an enclosed private garden and plenty of space in the house to meet any dogs needs. Sleeping arrangements can be discussed and we are happy for dogs to be in the bedroom or have a crate/bed somewhere, whatever they’re used to and would make them most comfortable.

Pets

A typical day

Typically Ripley will have a walk or run mid-morning around Wadebridge, then during the daytime while I work she mooches around the house, if she doesn’t settle I give her chew toys or licky activities to soothe her, which I can do with other dogs too. In the afternoon/evening we go for longer walks, either hikes around the woods/coast path or some socialising with other dogs at the park. At weekends we tend to drive further afield for bigger walks at the beach etc. but if your dog isn’t happy in the car we can do other things in the area.

Olivia can host up to 1 pet per night
It’s important that your dog will be open to spending the day with Ripley, it will be difficult to care for reactive dogs if they cannot be in the house with another dog. We’re open to taking it slow and making sure the relationship is built in a safe way with boundaries, but will have to reassess if the dogs are fundamentally uncomfortable around eachother.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
