As I just completed grad school at the end of last year, I’m currently seeking a full time job that is hybrid or remote with flexibility. For now, my schedule is fully open! But, once I do get a new job, I may need to be in the office a couple days out of the week. We can work together to figure out dates and times that you need care and hopefully I’ll be able to help.

I will follow your pet care as instructed, i.e. if your dog needs crate training, I will do so; if your pet needs medication at certain times of the day, I will schedule it. If you prefer your animals to have freedom in the home, i.e. snuggled on the couch or in bed with me, I am happy to offer that as well, with the caveat that they are well groomed and clean :) And hey, if they need a bath, or even special kinds of bath products, I can offer that as well. Just let me know your pet's needs before we lock in our dates so that I can be sure all of your desires are met. I want to make sure we're a good fit for one another because trust on both ends is so important for these special creatures!

Information Olivia O. would like to know about your pet

*Please see additional rates, especially if you have a puppy!* Let me know if your pet has any particular triggers, namely men or particular dog breeds. It's important for my safety, for your pets safety, and for the safety of others that I know these things ahead of time so I can be aware while we are in the home or walking/playing outdoors. I'd also like to know what level of training your dog has received, any kinds of commands they understand, or tricks you have taught them for treats! :) Discipline is sometimes necessary, especially with younger dogs. Let me know how you discipline your pet and I will implement as needed during their stay. I'm always for positive reinforcement! If your pet has any allergies or dietary restrictions, let me know so that I can make sure their health is in check throughout our time together. I would also like your Vet's information in case of an emergency while you're out of town. It's best to visit a doctor that has already been caring for your animal so they know its health history. If your Vet is unavailable, there are Vets and emergency animal clinics close by that I can provide for you if desired.

A typical day

I love to play with dogs and cats so much if they like, and cuddles if they're more chill. I also love to go on walks and get out of the house with them, take them to the park, the beach, or just around the neighborhood/house/yard if they're not the walking type. I have also been known to teach new tricks and surprise some of my clients (if you're open to that, let me know and I'll do my best!)

Loving, Experienced Pet Care!

Pet care experience

Highlights: - Shelter Trained - 15+ Years of Experience - Special Needs / Senior Pet Care Experience - Puppy Care / (Some) Training - Friendly, Professional, Positive Energy - Tidy and respectful of your home / space! Re: My Availability: I work on a hybrid/flexible policy, normally in office two days a week (generally Tuesdays and Thursdays). However, if booked far enough in advance, I may be able to accommodate based on your needs. Please message me to discuss! About Me: “Pets are humanizing. They remind us we have an obligation and responsibility to preserve and nurture and care for all life.” — James Cromwell What an honor it is to spend time with one of the most important things in your life - your furry friend (or family member, rather)! That is why I take such pride in caring for your pet with the utmost kindness and compassion. I've grown up with cats and dogs my whole life and have always had a huge heart for animals. When I moved to LA in 2018, I volunteered and was trained at the West LA animal shelter. I knew that I had the warmth, time, and energy to provide loving attention and care to animals in need in my local area. I also missed Ellie, my family's 7 year old Beagle, so much. Ellie lives with my parents in Dana Point, CA, and they often had me housesit for her and our one senior cat, Maggie, before she passed. Maggie was a classic elderly cat, keeping to herself, only wanting to eat and sleep. I tended to her little health problems, so know that I do have some experience with that. Ellie, on the other hand, loves to be active, go out on walks and play, and I am more than happy to oblige her! I loved to get out and enjoy our California weather, and having a dog helps motivate that. I started Rover in 2020 and what a blessing it was! I had the privilege of caring for my Rover and private client's dogs and cats with a 1 on 1 (or 2) style. Many sitters take on 5, 6, 7, to even 10 different client's animals at once, becoming a sort of "doggy day care." But in my experience, I've found that for the best kind of care, and for your animal to receive the highest attention, love, and quality time, keeping my clients to a minimum is crucial. It is now my pleasure to offer this level of high-quality service to you here in sunny South Orange County, California!

Olivia house sat for five days taking care of our Italian Greyhound. She was awesome. She did everything we asked, kept our home immaculate and most importantly kept my dog happy. She sent photos, administered meds and was always easy to contact. I will definitely be using her services again.
