Hi! my name is Olivia, and I am an emergency & shelter veterinary professional providing attentive, knowledgeable, and compassionate care for your pets 🐾 I currently work in both emergency and shelter medicine, which means I’m experienced in recognizing urgent medical concerns, handling high-stress situations, and supporting animals who may be anxious or reactive. I’m also certified in pet CPR, so your pet’s safety is always my top priority. Through my shelter work, I’ve developed a strong understanding of the importance of daily exercise, structure, and mental enrichment—especially for high-energy or stressed animals. I always tailor my care to match each pet’s individual needs and personality. I’m comfortable with: • Oral and injectable medications (including insulin) • Senior, special-needs, and post-op care • Anxious or shy pets who need extra patience • Assisting with routine care like nail trims and ear cleanings I’m a recent graduate of both the Animal Care program at Durham College and the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College, with hands-on placement experience in a variety of clinical and animal care settings.
