As a full-time university student studying a BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare, animals are a huge part of both my academic and personal life. My studies focus on understanding animal behaviour, welfare, and care, meaning I am constantly developing my knowledge and skills to provide the best possible care for pets. Alongside my studies, I volunteer with a wildlife park, farm, and local dog groomers, allowing me to gain hands-on experience working with a variety of animals. Caring for animals isn't just a job for me—it's something I genuinely enjoy and dedicate much of my time to. During term time, my weekday availability can vary depending on lectures and placement commitments, but I always keep my calendar updated. My main availability is all day Saturday and Sunday, making weekends ideal for dog walking, drop-in visits, pet sitting, and regular bookings. I am also available around my university schedule during the week whenever possible. Being a student means I am organised, responsible, and able to plan my time effectively, ensuring every pet receives the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. 🐾 Animal welfare is at the centre of both my studies and everyday life, so you can be confident your pet is in caring and capable hands

Hi, I'm Olivia, the owner of Olive & Leash. I am currently a full-time university student studying a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, giving me an in-depth understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, enrichment, and care. Alongside my degree, I hold a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management and a Level 3 Qualification in Dog Walking, providing me with both practical and theoretical knowledge to care for pets safely and professionally. My passion for animals has led me to gain hands-on experience in a variety of settings. I currently volunteer at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, Nunnys Farm, and a local dog grooming salon, where I work with animals of different species, sizes, temperaments, and care requirements. I have also had the incredible opportunity to volunteer on a wildlife game reserve in South Africa, where I gained valuable experience observing animal behaviour, assisting with conservation work, and learning about the welfare and management of a wide range of species in their natural environment. I am DBS checked, qualified, and fully insured, and I always put animal welfare at the heart of everything I do.
