Before watching any pet, it’s really important for me to learn about their routines, preferences, and any special needs. I always ask about their feeding schedule, any medications, how they do on walks or around other animals, and what helps them feel comfortable when their owners are away. I also like to know what their favorite toys or activities are, any fears or triggers they might have, and how they usually behave at home. That way, I can make sure they’re as happy and stress-free as possible while their family is away!
A typical day
When I watch pets, I love making sure they feel happy, safe, and entertained. For dogs, I enjoy going on walks, playing fetch, and having fun with their favorite toys. If they like learning, I also do some basic training or tricks for mental stimulation. I also make sure they get plenty of cuddle time (if they’re into that) and keep their routines as normal as possible. Every pet is different, so I always try to match the fun to their personality and energy level!
