Safety, trust & environment

In my dog caring business, I approach each dog with patience and empathy, recognizing that every dog has its own personality and pace. Whether your dog is full of energy, a bit shy, or needs extra attention due to health or age, I meet them where they’re at. My focus is always on ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for during our time together. I believe in building a bond of trust with each dog, paying attention to their body language and cues, and tailoring our walks or sessions to suit their specific needs. It’s not just about walking a dog—it’s about ensuring they are happy, healthy, and engaged. To ensure a pawsitive experience for your fur-baby and myself, I would love to meet up at my home or on neutral ground. This would be highly recommended if your pet is more apprehensive.

Information Olivia D. would like to know about your pet

Each dog is different and unique, so the more information I have the better! Allergies, medication, brushing/touch preference, etc. Please note that if you are looking to have your big dog cared for by me, it does need to be comfortable walking with a new person with minimal or no resistance. As well, dogs do need to be house trained. Pee pad trained will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

A typical day

It's important to me to provide both physical and mental stimulation throughout the day. I love to go on a walk around the neighborhood and make a stop at the local dog park (upon approval) or play fetch in my mostly fenced in yard (there is a temporary fence portion at the front of the yard with permanent fencing in the back yard). Mental stimulation -especially on bad weather days - is equally important too. I would love to put together meal-based games whether it's a snuffle mat, Kong, or something new! And of course I am always up for some pets and snuggles! Animals are more than welcome to cuddle up on the couch or in bed for some well-deserved affection.

Pet care experience

Growing up alongside pets of all kinds — 🐶dogs, 🐱 cats, 🐹 hamsters, and more—I've developed a deep love and understanding of animals. At one point, I was juggling the delightful chaos of raising a puppy while caring for three cats, so I know firsthand what it means to manage the unique personalities and needs of each pet.

Our first experience with Olivia and Drew was fantastic. They immediately put us at ease by taking the time to learn Toby’s routine and making sure he felt right at home. Their 10-year-old Coco welcomed Toby with the enthusiasm of a puppy—a testament to the love and care they clearly give their own dog. Toby (5) also enjoyed spending time with another well-mannered 12-year-old dog, so he had a great little social gathering while we enjoyed our evening out. When our evening ran later than expected, Olivia and Drew couldn’t have been more understanding and accommodating. Toby came home happy, calm, and looking exactly as we left him. We’d gladly trust them with Toby again, and knowing he’s welcome back anytime makes the recommendation even easier. Thank you both for taking such great care of our little guy!

Livia has honestly been a blessing for us! It has always been difficult planning any trips because we didn’t know where we would leave our fur baby. Our 12 year old fur baby has always had anxiety being left alone or being with anyone but as soon as he met, Livia and her family he immediately felt comfortable. He literally runs into their home now without turning back! Livia and her family treated our baby like their own, made him feel comfortable, loved and happy! We highly recommend Livia for your pets home away from home. Our little guys returns home so relaxed as if he was on vacation. :)
