Purrrfect Navy Yard Sitter 🐾🐈
Olivia is the proud and happy owner of two adopted kittens – Melba (a dark domestic shorthair) and Cutie (a light domestic shorthair calico). Cutie and Melba came front the Crumbs & Whiskers Café in Georgetown! At the end of 2019, right before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cutie and Melba were adopted together. Both are affectionate, friendly, well-behaved cats who love to be loved.

Olivia and Nick always take such a great care and attention to our girl! They are prompt to respond to requests, leave detailed reports and photos, and most important love on our pet while we are away!
Headline: Grateful for Emergency Hire, but Ultimately Confused We hired Olivia while we were out of town to fill in for another sitter who fell through when our trip was extended unexpectedly. Accessed the apartment no problem, was great with pictures, sweet with Figaro, full report on what she did. However, we hired her for 1:30 on both days. On the first day, after not hearing anything from her at the designated time, she said she would be over shortly after I asked about it at 2:15. Hours later, still nothing, she said she would be over at around 6 after I asked again at 4:55. Thankfully, she showed up at 6, but that was well after the time that was initially agreed upon. No reason given, no acknowledgment of that being late. We were several states away very concerned for our cat's well-being and we only received vague promises of arrival after the time that we hired her for. I have to say that I was not impressed with that, especially being a sitter myself.
Olivia took great care of our pup. Even though she doesn't typically do boarding, she welcomed our dog into her house for the weekend and even got some snuggles out of her (impressive because she is not typically a snuggly dog)! Our dog had a fun time playing with her.

Olivia is amazing! She takes great care of my cat, sends thorough updates, and follows all instructions perfectly. I’m happy to be a repeat client and it’s wonderful knowing my pet is in such great hands!

Schedule
Since living in the Navy Yard, the location makes it easy to take long pet-friendly walks along the Navy Yard docks, Southwest Waterfront, and National Mall. Within half a mile are three dog parks which are easily accessible. Several high-quality veterinarians are within close proximity to their neighborhood with District Veterinary Hospital in Eastern Market serving as their go to.

From young kittens and puppies to senior cats and dogs, she has a lot of experience with a variety of cat and dog breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Olivia has had a lot of exposure to a diverse group of animals and a plethora of various pet experiences – she grew up with two dogs, two cats, and her siblings routinely had a rotating bunch of rabbits and guinea pigs. Olivia has experience with special needs animals, administering medication, and multiple animals.

A typical day
Olivia and Nick’s favorite things to do with the dogs they watch is take them to the Navy Yard docks, Southwest Waterfront, and National Mall. Especially on the National Mall, they love to take the pets they are sitting to the Capitol, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial.
