Pet care experience

Caring, responsible, here to help

I’m a fellow dog owner & lover, and I look forward to supporting you in looking after yours. I’m highly empathetic, caring and responsible. Providing your pup with a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment with lots of affection is key to me. I have loved developing my understanding of dogs ever since I trained my own from 8 weeks old, so I can match or balance their energy and respond to their needs. I have completed courses in pet first aid and canine communication.

Great person and sitter, also beautiful dogs of her own. Santi had the best time with Olivia and I felt very confident having my dog in her care, photos sent throughout the day to check in with me. Santi is looking forward to her next visit. Thank you so much

Dog Walking • Dec 15, 2024

Olivia was wonderful. Leo was very happy and I understand he played with her dog. She was kind about me arriving late when I lost track of time.

Doggy Day Care • Dec 09, 2024

Louie had the BEST day with Oliva and Wally! I was sent photos and videos throughout the day updating me on how Louie was, and it was cute to see how well he got on with Wally. Olivia also helped reinforce his training and has a wide array of toys for Louie to play with and explore. I'd definitely highly recommend Olivia (and Wally) - great location and secure garden for dogs to play in!

Olivia was lovely. We did a pre booking meet up and introduced Biscuit to her dog Wally. They got on so well. The stay went really well with lots of photos and videos from Olivia. Biscuit had the best time. Thank you Olivia. Hopefully Biscuit will be able to come back another time. 👍

Schedule

I don’t work full time so when I’m at home I make myself available on Rover because it brings me joy to care for dogs, alongside my own. I can take your dog out for their walks, pop in and keep them company, or host them in the home that I share with my partner, Spencer, and our miniature sausages, Wally & Pippa. Spencer works from home and grew up with dogs, so you can be assured that your dog is not only in experienced hands, they would have supervision should I need to pop out, and we can maintain their routines as if they were at home. We are childfree which reduces noise and stress in the environment. I’m an active person who needs my daily exercise as much as your dog! I’m grateful to live with Epping Forest and the golf course on my doorstep, where your dog and I can adventure. At home I have a fenced garden and lots of toys, so plenty of options for exercise and play whatever the weather. Of course, they would socialise with Wally & Pippa, who are friendly, playful and well trained pups with no resource guarding issues.

Safety, trust & environment

In terms of your dog’s safety, I am DBS checked and have a pet first aid certificate. When I meet you & your dog, I’ll approach them calmly so I can get to know them and what they need from me. We will also introduce Spencer and - most importantly- Wally & Pippa, so we know the dogs will have a good time together. Pippa is a rescue and it’s been such a rewarding experience to see her settle into her new life, so we know how important it is go at their pace, and show them that humans can be loving and trusted friends. I will always follow your guidelines for diet and medication, if they struggle with separation anxiety or socialising, and other things like being on the sofa/bed and receiving treats. I’ve looked after dogs with allergies, dietary requirements and daily medication, as well as older dogs of 10+ years. I will also always walk your dog on lead unless you specify otherwise and once we have bonded through several comfortable on-lead walks. At home, I have a stair gate to keep your dog from going upstairs depending on your preference / their level of training. If needed, I have both a car seat and a seat belt for small to medium dogs in my car. And of course, I will keep you updated on how your dog is doing by sharing photos & videos of our time together!

Pets

A typical day

I’m an active person who needs my daily exercise just as much as your pup! I love to be outdoors and have no problem with long walks or multiple walks a day. Your dog can engage their nose while exploring the forest and chase after their favourite ball. At home, we can play indoors and outdoors, with games like hide & seek with their toys and sniffing things out in the garden.

- Personality and behavioural quirks; likes, dislikes, such as their favourite toys and games - Any specific needs regarding their health, routine and training, e.g. any allergies and medication, commands that they respond to, treats, behaviour you want to avoid, items/areas of the house you want to keep them away from - Emergency contact info including vet **Please note** * Daycare is 8am-6pm * If you need to drop off early (7-8am) or pick up late (6-8pm): £5 additional charge * If you need more than 10 hours care, you will need to book for Boarding rather than Daycare * Dogs who need special attention e.g. puppies under 1 year / can’t have other dogs around / can’t be left alone: £5 additional charge (puppy rate) * For Boarding, your dog must be comfortable sleeping downstairs. Our dogs don’t sleep with us and for fairness we will treat all dogs the same way. It is ideal if they are crate trained, however, as long as they have a space they can retreat to as their own (e.g. their bed) then we know they will feel safer and more comfortable in an unfamiliar home Please don’t hesitate to message me with your specific needs and we can discuss the best way for me to look after your pup
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
