Hi! I’m Oli. I take animals and their healthy care very seriously; it’s a privilege as well as a duty. When it comes to dogs, they need to run but they also need to sniff things, and mark things, and socialise - they need to do the things that are meaningful to dogs in order to be at their best, emotionally as well as physically. Walking isn't just about exercise; its about having time to be a dog in a human world. I have had greyhounds, collies, labs, dalmatians, pugs, jacks, norfolks, and chihuahuas under my care, among others, and never had a problem with discipline (except with my own chihuahua, who seems to have me under his paw, to my eternal shame!). I will only ever walk 2, or in the case of well behaved dogs, sometimes 3 dogs at a time. I see many if not most walkers out with 6 dogs attached to them, walking very slowly for 30 mins. This may be cheaper, but it’s not a “walk” as I understand it. Most of the dogs’ time is spent in a van in a cage picking up all the other dogs. This is bad.
