I’ve got a 4-year-old Chweenie of my own, so I know the whole range: the zoomies, the separation anxiety, the “why won’t you eat your food but you’ll steal mine” moments. Growing up with cats and dogs means I’m used to reading their moods, catching early signs something’s off, and knowing when a walk needs to turn into a slow sniff-everything stroll instead of a power walk. New to Rover but I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting around San Francisco for some time now, so I’m comfortable with a range of breeds and temperaments, not just the easy, food-motivated ones, but the anxious ones, the reactive-on-leash ones, the ones who need a minute to warm up to a stranger before they’ll take a treat from your hand. I’m patient with that. I don’t rush a nervous dog, and I don’t force interactions. Whether it’s a quick midday potty break, a full day of sitting, or overnight care, I treat every pet like they’re the only one on my schedule that day! Consistent routine, plenty of attention, and updates so you’re never left wondering how things are going.
