Professional Pet Lover!

Hello! My name is Olivia, but you can call me Oli! I moved to California five years ago, originally from Ohio. I currently work full-time as a dog walker and pet sitter. I’ve had pets my whole life. Right now, I have three crazy, high-energy dogs! One cattle dog and two cattle dog mixes. Herding and working breeds have stolen my heart; I’m absolutely crazy about their energy and intelligence. When I’m not out walking or playing with my dogs or my clients’ dogs, I enjoy yoga, baking, hiking, gardening, and reading in my free time. I’ve adore working with animals, and have for over 15 years now. My first job as a teenager was pet sitting and dog walking, along with volunteering at my local rescue, walking dogs and spending quality time with the cats there. Since then, I’ve worked at various boarding and doggy daycare facilities, handling dozens of dogs and cats. I’ve worked alongside groomers, in veterinary medicine, at a Humane Society, and have also done dog training for clients—focusing especially on reactive and anxious dogs. I’ve cared for countless animals with a wide range of behaviors and personalities. Needless to say, I’m very experienced in what I do and incredibly passionate about my work—this is more than just a job to me. I strive to give my clients peace of mind, knowing their beloved pets are being loved and well cared for. I make every effort to be flexible and to accommodate your pet care needs within my schedule. I understand that every pet has its own routine, and I’m always diligent in following instructions while being respectful of my clients' homes. If your dog follows a specific training routine, I’m more than happy to use your preferred commands and stick to your rules—whether that means discouraging jumping, keeping pets off the furniture, or anything else. I’m also comfortable administering medications, including insulin. I’m currently looking for more routine weekly dog walks. Feel free to reach out anytime with dog walking or pet sitting requests! I look forward to hearing from you!

Safety, trust & environment

The care I provide for your pets will vary based on their routine and your specific requests. I always ask my clients to leave me instructions on how to best care for them. I am very respectful of my clients' homes and always treat their pets as if they were my own. If your dog follows a specific training routine, I am more than willing to assist and use the commands you prefer. I'm also committed to adhering to any rules you have in place, whether it's discouraging jumping or keeping them off the couch—whatever guidelines you set, I will follow. When leaving the house with your dog, I will always have them on a slip leash, martingale, secure harness, or prong collar. Some client's enjoy taking their dogs for off-leash walks at parks, I prioritize the safety of your pets and avoid off-leash at all times, even if your dog has a reliable recall. Dog parks are also not part of my routine due to the potential risks of fights and disease. During our walks I have treats on me, and in the hotter days I have water with me.

Oli came to meet Jordi before their first walk. She understands his breed, Boston Terrier, specifically their risk of heat stroke if it’s too hot. She scheduled the walks for a time that was suitable for both of them. She kept me informed when they would go on their walk and send pictures. Jordi enjoys his walks with Oli. I highly recommend her.

Oli spent time playing with my cats, giving them much needed attention while I was away. Feeding and litter were so much easier from having her there. HIGHLY recommended!

Oli did a great job looking after our cat Perseus. It was always great to get the pics from Oli's visits. It gave us the reassurance that all was well while we were away.

It's important for me to know if there are any health concerns, such as dietary restrictions, how often they eat in a day, any medical conditions, and medication instructions if applicable. I always request that you provide your vet's information, as well as the nearest emergency vet you would want me to use in case of an emergency. You can never give me "too much" information. Do they jump the backyard fence? Do they fence fight with the neighbor dog? Are they reactive to dogs or people? Is there a dog in the neighborhood that they hate passing by? Are they possessive of their food? What's their favorite toy? Favorite treat? Do they have a preferred place to go for walks? What are some obedience commands they know, or are you working on some? Are they more laid back or high energy? Anything you can think of about your dog that you believe is important to share, please do! If something arises that I'm unsure about, I won't hesitate to reach out and ask you.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
