Pet care experience

Family Home All-Day Companionship

I have a lifetime of hands-on pet experience. I grew up with both cats and dogs, which gave me a deep appreciation for animals from an early age. Later, when I had a family of my own, we welcomed a German Shorthaired Pointer into our lives—a loyal, energetic companion who taught me the importance of routine, patience, and plenty of playtime. Having cared for pets at every stage of life, I bring not only love and enthusiasm but also practical experience in understanding their needs. With me, your dog will be treated like a true member of the family.

Olga once again took great care of Samba. Her family has been wonderful to Samba, playing with her, brushing her, and taking her for walks. She came back tired and happy.

Olga took excellent care of Ollie. He comes home tired, which makes me happy, as I enjoy the break I receive by having Olga care for him for the day.

Olga provided excellent daycare for Ollie, following my instructions re treats and walking. Ollie came home tired, which is a very good thing. We look forward to our next daycare visit with Olga.

Schedule

Your dog will fit naturally into my family’s routine. Since I work from home, I’m around throughout the day and can provide regular potty breaks (approx every 4 hours), playtime, and plenty of attention. In the evenings, I typically step out for about 2–3 hours for extracurricular activities. During that time, your dog should be comfortable relaxing or napping on their own. Once I’m back, the rest of the evening is spent together as a family, winding down before bedtime. This balance of companionship, play, and quiet time makes for a calm and happy environment where your dog can feel at home.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for dogs by welcoming them into my family’s daily routine and providing a safe, loving environment. I live in a semi-detached home with an unfenced backyard, so all outdoor time is on leash only—whether it’s quick potty breaks or longer walks. Our neighborhood has plenty of walkable streets and trails, making it easy to adjust the length and pace of walks depending on your dog’s energy level. Inside, our home is comfortable and family-friendly, with wooden stairs that dogs should be able to climb and descend. To keep everyone safe (and to protect our stairs), we ask that visiting dogs have well-manicured nails. Dogs also need to be fully potty trained and able to sleep through the night in their own bed.

A typical day

Whether it’s a game of fetch, a round of tug-of-war, or practicing basic commands, I make sure your dog gets the right mix of exercise and engagement. Daily walks are already part of my routine, and I’ll happily adjust the pace, length, and difficulty to match your dog’s needs..

Any details about your dog are helpful! Since this is a household with kids (ages 6 and 12), it’s very important that your dog is comfortable around children and has prior experience interacting with them. To make sure everyone is happy and safe, I ask that your pup does not display aggression, anxiety, or stress when sharing space with kids. Because the house has wooden stairs, I also need to ensure your dog’s nails are trimmed and that they are physically able to climb up and down stairs—otherwise I may not be the right fit. When it comes to walks, let me know how your dog prefers to interact with other dogs or people on leash, and I’ll plan the route accordingly. The same goes for any other routines—favorite activities, toys, mealtimes, or special quirks. The more I know, the better I can keep your pup happy and comfortable.
