Hi, I’m Oli! I’m an artist and all-around goofy and laid-back guy who loves animals of all kinds, and especially cats! I’ve owned cats my whole life, and my boyfriend and I currently own two lovely cats, Zuko and Azula. I’m big into understanding animal behavior and I know that cats need extra time and patience to truly get comfortable with you, and I’m more than happy to give that. I’ve been able to befriend most cats I’ve met and I’m always happy to meet them on their terms. Azula, our younger cat, was actually feral when we found her living under our porch with her sister and mother, and we took in the two kittens and socialized them over about two months. In this time, I learned first hand how to work with less-social cats and gain the trust of animals that have no reason to trust a human. We also provided them all of their vet care, got them vaccinated, and treated them topically for fleas and orally for worms in this time. This gave me great experience with administering medication, even with cats that aren’t cooperative. Nowadays, you would never know Azula had been feral. She’s one of the most loving and trusting cats I’ve ever met, and she’s such a special girl! My experience with fostering and socializing cats gives me a good base for dealing with any cat, even those that are a little more standoffish and need some extra patience! Above all, respecting the cat’s boundaries and space are top priority for me!
