Pet care experience
Although I never grew up with dogs in my home, I have always been a dog lover. Back in 2016, I started volunteering at the AAWL, mostly focusing on walking a variety of dogs throughout the day, as well as yard play, but I was also prepared to help with basic kennel maintenance and clean up. I am still associated with the AAWL, but have not regularly volunteered since the end of 2019. But since 2017, I have lived with two dogs, both originally my wife's. We lost our beautiful Gracie back in the summer of 2021, but our lives are not blessed by Bella! Animals add so much enrichment to our lives, and it is a privelege to help other dog owners with basic caretaking needs.

Wonderful human being! Not only is he an Ohio fan but he loves dogs so much! He has been a savior to our older dog who is starting with separation anxiety and killed it with calming him down. He also gave love to our other dogs to make them comfortable while he was catering to buddy. We will definitely be requesting him again!!!!!
Obi made great friends with my dog Beans! He came exhausted and happy from his walk!

I have a fenced backyard that are Bella loves to run around and play in. When both of us aren't home, we place our dog in a crate, as we found over time that she actually feels secure in the crate when neither of us are around. As far as your caretaking needs, my experience volunteering at an animal shelter provided me with the insight needed to adapt to different caretaking needs based on dog breed, size and personality.

A typical day
I love taking my own dog on walks to nearby parks. Our Bella loves to play fetch in our backyard as well! Bella is also super active and enjoys going on hikes from time to time.

Availability
I typically work Monday - Friday, 8 - 5, and generally would be available in the evening hours. The weekends are usually flexible, and there are usually a few days during the week where I may have flexibility for walks or breaks when I am working remotely.
