Let me know if your little guy or girl has any special needs, dietary restrictions, predispositions to anxiety, previous trauma involving humans or other animals, sleep habits that I should look out for, or require any medication or grooming. I also like to know if pets are prone to barking / getting upset about anything in particular so I can keep an eye out. I prefer small to small-medium sized dogs, however beyond size, I am experienced in most personalities, whether sleepy and slow or active and energized, or somewhere in between. I have experience caring for traumatized/ anxiety-ridden dogs, and as long as they do not bite and are not violent, I am more than happy to help them in their rehabilitation journey towards trusting people.

Each dog and owner have different needs and goals, depending on the energy level, age, health status previous trauma and personality of the dog. I love to be playful with dogs, keeping them entertained and curious, with toys or engaging games. Sometimes simply telling them they’re a good boy or girl, and several other compliments and sweet nothings, will help them feel more relaxed and lean in to playing. I also take them for walks, with the length of walk depending on the weather and mood/disposition of the dog, for pee breaks, and to the dog park in my apartment community where every dog is leashed and pre-approved. The pet with me can explore their new surroundings, take in new sights and smells in the apartment community and neighborhood, and enjoy treats for good behavior (if that’s okay with their owner of course). Sometimes I also play calming nature documentaries that often pique the interest of attentive dogs, who enjoy the new sounds and visuals of other animals. Cuddles with dogs who enjoy them, are always a highlight.
