Hello! My name is Michelle, I am a Master’s student and I have been a petsitter in Belgium for 4 years. I have lots of experience with dogs, cats, birds, and bunnies. Many of the pets I cared for during those years stayed with me for 3–4 years, and they truly became part of my family, I miss them very much, and that is why I would love to continue pet sitting here as well. I am experienced with dogs of all sizes and ages, from puppies to large breeds. I am strong and confident handling them, and I can walk them for 30 minutes, an hour, or longer depending on their needs. I also have a lot of experience with cats: feeding, playing, cleaning litter boxes, and giving them attention. I am also available for overnight stays if preferred , I love cats, and they love me back! I can also do house sitting. I am very careful, clean, and respectful, always following the owner’s instructions. During a house sit, I will make sure your pets are walked, cared for, and loved as if they were my own. I am a student now only working on my thesis so now I have a lot of free time and flexibiity to take care of pets, I am available everyday at any hour.

Safety, trust & environment
I always make sure pets feel safe and comfortable. In the owner’s home, I carefully follow all instructions, and I ask to have the instructions in written, that way I don't forget anything, I keep the place tidy, and give pets the right balance of playtime, cuddles, and space. I also send updates and photos so owners feel reassured. If pets stay with me, they will find a calm and secure environment with fresh water, food, and a clean litter box, and lots of love.
A typical day
In my experience as dog walking, I liked to have relaxing walks, where the dog could sniff freely and explore the city or park that we visited, depending if the owner allowed, we could interact with other dogs that were friends of us if we found them in the park, some of the dogs I used to take care of were not very friendly so I always kept them far from other dogs or other people. I was always respectful and very focused of the instructions from the owner. I like to get to know the pet beforehand so I can get all the information and specific caracteristics. For cats, in my visits I like to play with them and cuddle with them so they get a lot of my attention and don't miss the owner so much. I am also respectful of their space. If I do house sitting I have a lot of free time as I am a student, so I can spend a lot of time with the pet, we could go do many walks during the day, depending of the necessities, I like to play with them inside, give them affection and let them rest as well while I study.
