She is a very sweet person but TERRIBLE DOG/HOME SITTER. She literally didn't follow any of my rules and an absolute terrible communicator. She left my dog outside in my unfenced yard on day 1, before daybreak. When asked about it, she responded that she was "exhausted." Meanwhile my cameras showed my dog outside for at least 5 min alone before I reached out to her. I never received updates on my pup from Nora aside from when I checked in after the first day which is important for a peace of mind when you have fur babies and are away.My doors and cameras showed that she left my doors unlocked twice of which I had to lock remotely at 5am and when she'd already left my house. I've even gotten security notices of my back door being left open for 15 minutes at a time. She didn't follow my arrival instructions as requested since I have an alarm system, I asked to tell me before arrival so that I could disarm it, she didn't until after being seen walking through My house then went back outside to let me know she was already there. Luckily i'd disarmed it right before I thought she'd be there. I have an older dog that dribbles pee and I have bad allergies so for that reason I don't let my pets on the couch. She was requested to leave scat pads on the furniture to keep her off and I reminded her via the rover messenger of which she never used during her 8 days with my dog. I've seen my dog on my couch. They didn't take as many or as long of walks as she promised so that was a bummer. She also mentioned to me that she broke my dining table bench for 2 as I was on my way home and suggested to get glue to fix the wooden legs for which was a newer table set, although accidents happen I'll work on finding someone to fix it but when I arrived home there was a foul smell, #2 residue left in the toilet, and toothpaste all over my sink and hand towel of which I have photos of. As well as photos of wood chips around the table from where the chair broke next to the random broom and dustpan sitting around on the floor. I have been using rover since at least 2018/2019 and this is the first time I've ever had any issues with a sitter. I'd tread lightly when booking with Nora and I won't make this mistake again.

Drop-In Visits • mars 17, 2025

This is going to be a long review but it needs to be written. Unfortunately I had nothing but issues with Nora and had to terminate her services early. I have a 10 week old puppy (9 weeks at the time of service) who is working on potty training. I hired her to have her drop in so he could go outside, play for a bit and have a water break. The problems started the very first day, I had hired her to drop in for 30 minutes 4 days a week while I’m at work. The first day Nora came to the house for a drop in visit, she placed my 9 week old golden retriever puppy on the kitchen counter to take off his diaper and again to replace it. Based on cameras in my house, she did not have her hands on him for part of the time. Not only is this a huge safety issue as he could have fallen off but it is also unsanitary. After the drop in visit was done, she did not lock my front door and left my back door wide open. On the second day, she again placed him on the counter two separate times. I have a 6 year old husky who is on different food and her bowl is kept on the counter because my new puppy will eat her food constantly even after he has just been fed. Although she was never told to feed him, she allowed him to eat my 6 year old husky’s food while he was standing on the counter. The two dogs have different brands of dog food currently and obviously my puppy is on puppy food so this was a problem especially since I never asked or gave permission for her to feed him. She did not ask me if it was okay before allowing him to eat. I only found out because of the rover card indicated he had a food break. We had a conversation on Monday about leaving my house unlocked and my door wide open and again on Tuesday about not putting him on the counter and that she shouldn’t be feeding him. On Wednesday, everything initially went better and I was optimistic we had ironed out any and all wrinkles but I was wrong. She was scheduled to come to my house from 12 to 1230 for the drop in visit which she did. During the visit, everything went fine. The problem came later in the day…I have cameras in my house which she did know about. Around 350 pm my cameras alerted me to a person being detected in my house. This seemed odd as I live alone and no one should be in my house at this time. Upon checking the cameras, I saw Nora enter my house without permission, without any communication and without knocking or ringing the doorbell to see if I was home. I park my car in my garage so just driving by, you would have no idea if I was home or not. After seeing her inside my house without permission or any form of communication, I immediately called Rover to terminate her services and no longer finish out her scheduled visit for Friday. She stated she came back and let herself in without asking or communicating with me because she wasn’t sure she locked my back door and was in too much of a hurry to communicate with me. I’m not sure how others would feel, but personally I found this absolutely unacceptable. There was absolutely no reason for her to be in my house a second time and for her to just use my door code and walk in without even knocking or ringing the doorbell is beyond ridiculous. She had no idea if I was home or not. I cannot imagine how it would have felt if I had been in the shower or changing out of my work clothes when she let herself into my house when she should not have been there at all. I would definitely not hire her again

Nora was great with Finnegan! She kept him company while we were out of town, and checked in with us daily to let us know how things were going.
