I have a deep love for animals and extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and horses. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality, routine, and individual needs. I currently have two dogs, Finnegan (10) and Winnie Bear (4), a rambunctious cat named Jasper, and a **3-year-old Thoroughbred gelding** of my own. My horse experience is extensive and hands-on. I am very comfortable with horses of different ages, breeds, personalities, and training levels, including young and sensitive horses that require patience, consistency, confidence, and thoughtful handling. I have experience with daily horse care, feeding, grooming, cleaning, handling, groundwork, exercise, and managing the many details that go into keeping a horse safe, healthy, and happy. I am really good at recognizing when something isn't quite right, and adjusting my approach to the individual animal. I understand that animals communicate in very different ways, and I pay close attention to those little signals. Beyond my own animals, I have fostered, rescued, volunteered with, walked, and cared for dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, sizes, and personalities. I have also worked professionally with horses and have years of experience around them. I am patient, calm, empathetic, observant, and dependable. I don't believe good pet care is simply checking off a list, I believe it means actually paying attention to the animal in front of you. Some animals need exercise and stimulation, some need extra reassurance, and some simply need someone reliable who will maintain their normal routine. My goal is to provide safe, loving, attentive care and give you peace of mind while you're away. **House Sitting Note:** My two dogs are part of my family and would need to come with me for house-sitting stays.
