I have a very flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home as a university student currently off for the summer. This allows me to provide pets with lots of attention, supervision, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m available for daytime care and overnight boarding, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine to help them feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you’re away.

Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have years of experience caring for animals, not only my own pets, but also pet sitting and caring for the pets of friends, family and clients over the years. I have looked after animals with different personalities, routines, and energy levels, so I understand how important patience, consistency, and attentiveness are when caring for someone’s pet. I live in a clean, pet-friendly townhouse with a front yard, and pets in my care are welcome to freely roam around the home and make themselves comfortable. They are absolutely allowed on the furniture because I want them to feel as relaxed, loved, and at home as possible during their stay. Because I am home most of the day, pets receive lots of supervision, companionship, playtime, cuddles, and attention throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. I am also a very active and routine-oriented person, so walks, potty breaks, feeding schedules, and playtime are always kept consistent and reliable. Since I already enjoy going on walks daily myself, your dog will get plenty of exercise, outdoor time, and stimulation. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, so I take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and comfort level to help them feel safe and stress-free while away from home. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or more calm and cuddly, I will make sure they receive patient, loving, and attentive care every step of the way. For daycare and overnight boarding, I ask owners to provide food, treats, leash/harness, medications (if needed), and any comfort items like toys or blankets to help their pets settle in comfortably.

Before watching a pet, I like to do a meet and greet to know a few important things to make sure they are as comfortable and happy as possible while in my care. This includes their feeding schedule, bathroom routine, energy level, any medications, allergies or health concerns, and how they behave around other people or animals. I also like to know a bit about their personality: whether they are shy, energetic, cuddly, anxious, love walks, etc. so I can care for them in a way that feels familiar and safe to them. Any favourite toys, treats, routines, or commands are always helpful too! My goal is to make your pet feel at home and keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away.

I have been around animals my entire life and have 16 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I grew up with dogs, horses, bunnies, guinea pigs and hamsters, so understanding animal behavior and care has always come naturally to me. I have a ton of patience, attentiveness, and ability to build trust with animals quickly. I also personally trained my own family dogs (golden retriever and American Eskimo Spitz), which gave me experience with reinforcing good behaviours, maintaining routines, leash walking, crate training, and understanding the importance of consistency and positive reinforcement. I know every pet has their own personality, comfort level, and needs, and I genuinely take the time to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while in my care. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or shy and anxious, I adapt to what makes them happiest and most relaxed. Because I’m home throughout the day, pets in my care get lots of supervision, companionship, playtime, cuddles, and attention, not just quick check-ins. I treat every animal like they’re part of the family and care for them the same way I’d want someone to care for my own pets.

BEST PET SITTER EVER! Nix is one of the most considerate people we have ever met. She went above and beyond for our boys (Jax, Floyd, and Remi. Golden retrievers) and for us. As it was our first time with a pet sitter we had lots of questions but she was always available, reassuring, and incredibly helpful. Her communication is amazing. We received regular photos and messages. So we never had to wonder how the boys were doing while we were away. But most importantly our dogs absolutely adored her and she adored them too. They were showered with love, attention, and care the entire time. We always knew they were in the best hands. We love and miss Nix and can’t wait until she’s back in Paris because the boys will be so excited to see her again!
We’ve known Nix for years and whenever we need someone to look after our dogs and home she’s the first person we call. When she first started helping us we had a 5 year old Border Collie who was full of energy and always needed something to do. Nix spent so much time playing with him, taking him for walks and runs and making sure he got all the exercise he needed. We have a large fenced property, and he absolutely loved spending time with her outside. The first time she stayed at our home was when we were away for two weeks and it was honestly such a relief knowing everything was being taken care of. Our dog was happy, the house was exactly as we left it and we never had to worry while we were away. Years later we still call Nix whenever we need help. We now have another dog as well and she’s been wonderful with both of them. She’s become someone we trust completely, and we always know our dogs are in good hands with her.
We had a family emergency and were scrambling to find a sitter with only two hours notice. Nix was the only one that accepted our request, especially since we had a puppy at the time. We returned four days later, to a healthy, happy, well cared for puppy, and he had also learned several commands like sit, stay, lie down, and speak. His potty training had improved as well. We were incredibly grateful for the care, patience, and attention Nix gave him during such a stressful time for our family. To this day she is still our go-to sitter whenever we go out of town, and we trust her completely with our dog.
We are so happy to have found Nix. We leave our senior dog Toby with her every time we go out of town, and she is absolutely wonderful with him. She is thorough, reliable, and truly cares about the dogs in her care. Toby adores her, and we always have complete peace of mind knowing he’s in such loving hands.
