Pet care experience
Experienced:All Ages, Sizes, Breeds
I have more than 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and needs. I raised my two dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Cane Corso, from puppyhood through their senior years. They were part of my family for 14 and 11 years, so I have firsthand experience with every stage of a dog's life, from energetic puppies and adult dogs to seniors who need extra patience and attention. My experience with dogs actually began much earlier. Growing up, my family had a female French Poodle and a female Labrador, which also gave me experience caring for female dogs, including during their heat cycles. My Golden Retriever and Cane Corso were intact males, so I am comfortable with the additional care and management that intact dogs may require. I also have experience caring for other people's pets. While completing my master's and Ph.D. in Tallahassee, I pet sat for families with dogs of different sizes and breeds, sometimes caring for two dogs in the same household. I handled feeding, walks, playtime, routines, and companionship while their owners were away. I understand that every dog has a different personality and routine. Whether your dog is a puppy, an energetic adult, a large breed, or a senior, my priority is to provide patient, attentive care and make them feel safe and comfortable while they are with me.

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible teaching schedule and am home for significant portions of the day, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and companionship. I am an experienced dog owner, and caring for dogs has been part of our daily lives for many years. I am happy to follow your dog's usual feeding, walking, exercise, and bedtime routine so they can feel as comfortable and at home as possible while you are away.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else's care. I provide a calm, attentive home environment and will follow your dog's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions you provide. I have experience with puppies, adult and senior dogs, large breeds, intact dogs, and multi-dog households. I pay close attention to each dog's behavior and individual needs and will keep you updated so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving plenty of attention.
A typical day
Every dog is different, so I like to adapt the day to your dog’s personality, energy level, and normal routine. We can enjoy walks, playtime, exploring new smells, outdoor time, and plenty of attention and affection. For senior or lower-energy dogs, I’m also happy to keep things relaxed with shorter walks, quiet time, and lots of companionship. My goal is for your dog to feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away.

- Please let me know about your dog’s normal routine, feeding schedule, medications or special needs, energy level, and any behaviors I should be aware of. I’d also like to know how they interact with other dogs and people, whether they have any fears or triggers, and what helps them feel most comfortable. The more I know about your dog, the better I can maintain their routine and provide care that feels familiar to them.
