Hey everyone!🐾 My name is Niveya and I’m currently a graduate student and basketball player at Saint Mary’s College, and I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with two cats (a tortie and a domestic longhair) and several dogs (from poodles to pitbulls) over the years, so caring for both cats and dogs has always been a part of my life. Growing up, I also volunteered at local dog shelters, which taught me that every animal has a different personality. Some are energetic and playful, while others just need a little patience and time to feel comfortable. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets over the years, and I’ve found that animals usually warm up to me because I stay calm and let them adjust at their own pace. Being a student-athlete has made responsibility, reliability, and consistency a huge part of my everyday life. Between balancing graduate school and basketball, I’ve learned how important it is to be dependable and communicate well. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or just sticking to their normal routine, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Because of my basketball schedule, I’m typically on campus during weekday mornings and parts of the afternoon, but I’m available throughout the late afternoons, evenings, and all weekend. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special routines. I’ll also send plenty of updates and photos (if you’d like!) so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands😊

My first time being on Rover and I came across Niveya! It was also my cats very first time having a new friend or just a sitter in general. My baby adjusted the 2nd day with Niveya and I was really amazed by it because Niveya kept Neo very comfortable and followed his routine knowing exactly how to take care of my cat. Neo is super shy and just curious about what’s going on but he was also the cutest little fur baby so I wasn’t sure what he would do especially since I was gone for 4 days. She send me lots of pictures and kept me updated if he ate or not but overall he did super good with her. Neo revived lots of treats, he stretched in front of her, and he also rubbed himself on Niveya! Her place is very quiet and spacious so I definitely recommend anyone who has a pet that enjoys quiet time and a spacious area to sleep anywhere or do the zoomies. I’m definitely going to do this again for my cat and since Neo really liked her I’m going to stick with Niveya for any other time I go on a trip. I appreciate her and she’s amazing with communication and reliable. Thank you so much and see you again 😊✨

You can tell Niveya grew up with dogs. She’s completely at ease with them, and they seem to know it. I’m convinced she has some weird superpower because animals are instantly drawn to her. She’s patient, responsible, and will probably end up being your dog’s new favorite person. I’d trust her with any pet without a second thought.
Niveya has always been incredibly caring and dependable when it comes to animals. She has looked after my two dogs & two cats multiple times, and I’m always impressed by her patience, attention to detail, and genuine love for pets. I never have to worry when my fur babies are with Niveya—when I get home, they are happy, well-exercised, and clearly loved. I would recommend Niveya to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.
Niveya would make an excellent pet caregiver for rover! She watched over my elderly schnauzer with such love and care and also had no trouble matching the energy of my rescue puppy. She can do it all!

Schedule
I am a student-athlete at Saint Mary’s College, so I am on campus in the mornings and some afternoons for basketball workouts. I keep a structured and dependable routine, which makes me very organized when it comes to caring for pets. I have workouts in some early afternoons but I’m available throughout the late afternoons, evenings, and off all weekends for walks and playtime. I make sure every pet gets regular potty breaks, exercise, and plenty of love while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible!

I live in a pet-friendly and fenced-in apartment where I only host up to two pets at a time, allowing me to give each one plenty of individual attention. If your pet likes to socialize, I have a roommate and teammates that are pet lovers as well! I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special routines. I provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, regular updates with photos (if you want them!) and lots of affection to help your pet feel comfortable while you’re away.
