I work from home and am eager for company on my daily walks around the block and park. I live with my partner, Mike, who also has grown up with dogs, and we’re looking forward to adopting our own one day. In the meantime, I would love to help you care for your dog and make them feel happy and at home with us.

Nitya has done an amazing job caring for our girl since we have known her. She is so reliable, kind, and caring with animals. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!
Nitya has been a real life saver for us as we travel frequently. She has cared for our dear dog Goose for a week at a time. Goose can be temperamental and skiddish. Even though there was a tornado and severe thunderstorms, she made it to our house to feed, take her outside even if it was raining, and comfort her. She even checked up on her after the power went out to make sure the AC was running. We are very grateful to have her take care of Goose.

Schedule
We are an active and outdoorsy couple especially in the summertime, and enjoy going for long walks in the neighborhood, parks, or by the lake. Nitya works from home during the week and goes for a couple walks throughout the day, so she would love to take your dog out as needed. Mike is home Friday-Sunday so we’d also love to spend time with your dog together on the weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a small two bedroom apartment, with an open living room and kitchen. Your dog could spend time with Nitya in the apartment during the work day. There’s a fenced backyard between our building and the garage/coach house in the back, so we can always pop down there at anytime during the day or night. Our building neighbors have indoor cats, and there are a few alley cats that pass through the backyard occasionally. For walking, we are just a few blocks away from Harrison Park, and a about a 20 minute walk to Dvorak park.
A typical day
We’re sporty people, with a routine of swimming and running, so we’re super happy to go for walks and play games with, chase, and explore with dogs. At the same time, there’s nothing sweeter and more comforting than hanging out and lounging at home (or having an outdoor picnic) with a furry pet so we love that too.
