Pet care experience
Experienced animal whisperer
I've been a Boulder Humane Society volunteer in Boulder, Colorado and foster mom since I was 14 (for dogs from 3 days to 16 years old) and a dog lover/whisperer all my life. I'm a trained pet psychic with a particular talent with stressed and nervous dogs. I've yet to find a dog of any kind I don't love, and most dogs love me too. I have found that dogs appreciate my calm energy and even the most skittish of dogs tend to warm up to me quickly. I love to read and cuddle but also I'm pretty good at chase and long hikes. I also have experience caring for cats of all ages and levels of health, due to fostering and volunteering at the Humane Society and cat sitting as one of my first jobs in middle school.

I do my best to not push your pet's boundaries while still providing them with the care they need (e.g. I will fill your kitty's food bowl, but I won't make him come out from under the bed if he doesn't wanna)

Nina took great care of Luna over my 2 day trip out-of-town. Luna really appreciated that Nina made our house her home base so she spent very little time alone. I would hire her again for sure!

Nina was absolutely amazing. She took care of our dogs, chickens, and home for two weeks, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This was the longest we’ve ever been away from our dogs, so we were pretty anxious heading into the trip. Nina completely put us at ease from day one with thoughtful, consistent updates and photos. It made such a difference knowing they were in such good hands. Not only were our dogs clearly well cared for, but we honestly feel like they came back even better behaved. She’s a true dog whisperer. We would trust Nina again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring sitter.

I am a homebody, so I am generally at home unless I have errands or drop ins, especially if fuzzy pet cuddles are on offer.
