Pet care experience

Insured, trustworthy and reliable

I currently offer drop-ins and walks M-F (7am-7pm). Safety is my first priority! That’s why I walk with a walking belt I can secure your dog’s leash to. I triple check all equipment. I always have water and a bowl. I also carry my own private insurance. I live in Northampton, PA and my service area is 3 miles, including Bethlehem, Coplay, Catasauqua, Fullerton, Whitehall and surrounding areas. I own three Shiba Inus. Jaxx, Loki and Bennett. They are in training by me. My cat Cali recently passed away at 15 (she was the best!). I’ve been a dog and cat owner most of my life and also worked in and volunteered at a vet clinic and dog shelters. I love to walk our dogs every day and engage them in play and learning. When I walk or visit with your dog or cat I will treat them as I treat my own, with love and respect. I have experience with leash training and knowledge of what to do if anything tricky comes up in our walk together (like encounters with other dogs). I’m studying dog behaviors and what to look for in their body language (signs of fear, anxiety, reactivity or excitement). I have experience with puppies, seniors, timid/shy, leash reactive, prey driven, separation anxiety and walking multiple dogs at once. I also have experience with insulin injections in cats and dogs. Every animal is different and I love to get to know them, and do my best to accommodate their special needs. You can enjoy peace of mind when your dog or cat is in my care. I’ll send you updates and pictures of our time together. I like to use time slots when booking, I have 7-11 (morning), 11-2 (mid-day), 2-5 (afternoon) and 5-7 (evening). If you have a specific time (such as for puppies or dogs needing medication), I will do my best to accommodate, usually within an hour of the requested time. I understand things come up, and sometimes we need to cancel an appointment. Please allow 24 hr notice or a cancellation fee may apply. Excessive cancellations may lead to discontinued service, as it affects my ability to serve other clients. Bookings are done on a first-come, first-serve basis. Last minute bookings are not guaranteed, so please book in advance. Same day bookings are considered, but may incur a $10 fee. Thank you! In extreme weather (cold, snow, heat or storms), I will use my best judgement on the amount of time we spend outside. Some visits may be a potty break and then indoor play. And in cases of heavy snow or severe storms, I may have to cancel an appointment and understand you may cancel as well. I’m currently doing pet sitting full time and love what I do. I’m not currently available on weekends. Safety is of utmost importance. I do fence checks, critter checks and general safety checks at every visit. On a walk, I avoid other people and pets, do equipment safety checks and also keep a first aid kit in my vehicle.

Another great visit! She kept me updated with photos and a detailed report, and it's reassuring knowing Maverick is well cared for while I'm at work.

She did a great job with Maverick! She was communicative, left a detailed update, cleaned up after a puppy accident without hesitation, and made sure he had plenty of playtime and potty breaks. I felt much better knowing he was in good hands. I'll definitely book with her again.

I like to know a little about your dog or cat, such as certain places they like to walk or sleep. I prefer to walk dogs on harnesses. Do they have any fears on walks? Are they friendly with other dogs/people/children? Do they react to prey or traffic? I also like to know their feeding schedule and when they go potty. Also, if there’s any behavior like picking up sticks or rolling in mud.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
