Pet care experience

We’re back! Accepting new bookings!

We’ve been dog sitting over 10 years, we’ve got our system down to an science. Interested in booking? Send a request. We will request a meet and greet to go over your pet(s) care plan. If it’s a mutual fit, we accept the booking, and you firm up with Rover on payment. Please pack: food, collar, leash, meds/supplements. Upon arrival, we walk your pup(s) or head outside, send a picture and update within the first hour. Settling in: depending on your pup(s) we allow them to explore on their own or with friends. We aim for two walks a day including the off leash dog park in town (not Spring Lake.) Food- whether it’s just a couple of scoops of dry dog food or… 1/2 a scoop of dry food, 1/4 cup of wet food, topped with dog sprinkles, probiotic powders, a sardine, a teaspoon of organic meat, and a prayer…we’ve done it all. Just tell us and we will follow it :) Meds- we will follow the schedule given, and have cheese, peanut butter, pill pockets, and meat for the pups that need a little more enticing. Sleeping- depends on your pup. We only accept house broken dogs who do not mark (we also have belly bands in the rare event they do.) I’m generally dogs may sleep in the living room or the spare room. Occasionally, we have had pups who prefer to sleep in our rooms. And for those that are crate trained, we had additional crates as well. Updates- for newer clients we aim for an update about 10 am on how their night and morning went. The again by 9 pm on how their day and evening went. For frequent visitors or longer stays, unless otherwise requested, we usually just do a once a day updates. Please do not pack: crates, bedding, blankets, bowls, or anything invaluable.

Abbie and Finn had a wonderful time with Nikki and Noah! And we so appreciated the great care they gave our pooches! We especially liked getting daily pictures which gave us even greater confidence that our fur babies were being well taken care of. We will definitely book again, and will certainly recommend them to our friends!!

I know Ginny will have a great time when she stays with Nikki and Noah. There’s usually several friends for her to play with and they keep her nice and active!

Nikki and Noah helped us out on relatively short notice with our greyhound Abe for two sitting stints this summer. They were very communicative and I was confident Abe was getting lots of love from them.

Schedule

We work flexible schedules and someone is able to be home full time. Potty breaks and outside play are unlimited, and we typically don’t leave pets alone for more than four hours.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a fenced play yard and two dog runs in our backyard to allow for outdoor safety. We also only off leash if the dog is trained to an ECollar and in a park. Dogs are always physically separated for feedings and not active for about 30 minutes to an hour after to prevent bloat. Dogs are crated or physically separated into separate rooms (unless from the same household) at night or if we are unable to directly supervise.
