Pet care experience

Vacation or work without a worry.

I have spent the last 30-odd years taking care of a wide variety of animals. I have raised puppies from birth, taken care of elderly and special needs dogs, fostered cats and kittens, and have helped out with horses and reptiles. I am a lover of all animals big and small and have no issues taking care of the young, old, wild, gentle, and everything in between. Our pets are a part of our families. I am very picky about who takes care of my old boy, and it is a special privilege for you to trust me with yours. I'm big also on sending daily updates and photos to make sure that you know your pet is being well loved. I have a fenced yard perfect for your pup to roam.

Great dog sitter! Nikki keep us in the loop with pictures for the entire stay, which was fun and reassuring.

Doggy Day Care • Jan 01, 2026

Nikki took great care of Dost during my brief trip to Victor. I was able to spend time on the slopes with the comfort of knowing Dost was in good hands. Excellent communication and regular updates made me feel completely at ease. I’ll definitely reach out to her again for assistance when I’m back in this area

Nikki took such great care of our cat! We were nervous because he is a pandemic kitty and this was our first time leaving him. Nikki went above and beyond making sure he was comfortable, had plenty of attention, and kept us informed while we were away. We look forward to many more visits from Nikki in the future.

House Sitting • Jun 01, 2021

Nikki was kind, responsive, responsible, and made me feel at home being out of town! I got lots of photos of Opal so I knew she was being well taken care of. My dog is a stubborn blue heeler and doesn't always like some folks but she loved Nikki! I've already asked her about many more dates this summer.

Nikki would make an excellent doggy caregiver for any dog! She has a huge heart and is extremely responsible and totally trustworthy. Her own dog was a rescue animal. He was very high maintenance with a crazy amount of energy, put his mouth and teeth on everyone due to his herding nature, and was rather aggressive, particularly with males. With Nikki's care, love, and gentle but firm training, her dog Django has become a wonderful dog and great companion! She has worked miracles transforming this very difficult dog into a cherished part of her family. Whether your dog needs anything from some play time and a walk, to a caregiver while you are on a business trip or vacation, Nikki would be an excellent choice to do it!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I am a flight paramedic and work 96-hour shifts. So, of course, when I am gone at work, I will not be available to provide care. But when I am off of shift, I am fully off and spend a lot of time working from home and spending time with my dog (and yours).

Safety, trust & environment

My old boy is a bit too old to go on longer hikes these days, but we go on multiple shorter walks every single day. We also love to play in the streams and walk around Teton Canyon. I am happy to do whatever is most comfortable for you and your pet. I would love to bring them on walks suitable to their activity levels. We ALWAYS bring plenty of water on hikes on warm days. I even bring trail snacks for dogs if we plan to do a longer day-hike. Upon further conversation, we can discuss if you are open to "pack walks" in which I bring multiple dogs out at once, or if you would prefer private walks/hikes.

Mental and physical stimulation is important to tire our pups out. We will spend time exploring new places and smells, and play new games to keep our minds sharp and active.
