I practice a positive reinforcement approach with my dog clients, am knowledgeable in body language, and prioritize safety and compassion for animals in my interactions. I have over 20 years of experience with dogs, volunteering at a vet clinic, a shelter, and currently as a volunteer search dog handler for King County Search Dogs. I have experience with reactive dogs and fearful dogs. My interactions with dogs are force free and I interact with dogs based on their body language. I prioritize building trust with your pet and communicating with you as much as wanted. You are the expert on your dog, and I will follow your lead on dog care preferences. Depending on your dog’s needs and your preferences, I will: - Prioritize spending time with your pet at home -Not touch your dog if they don’t like it -Play with your dog the way they like to play to build trust -Create a calm and consistent environment for dogs with big feelings -Take your dog friendly dog hiking -Go on camping or backpacking trips if your dog loves adventure. -Help your dog enjoy a balance of rest and play. We went on a trip to Japan for 17 days with my whole family. We haven't been on a family trip for 10 years because one of our kids watches our animals. Our dog is a rescue from Korea & can be aggressive. He snuggled with her on the couch & on the bed! My anti-social cat seemed to love her too! Nikki is wonderful, she was recommended by our vet. She's very calm, patient & seems to know what they want. She sent us pictures & updates every day. From day one I felt very comfortable being on vacation. I thought maybe our dog wouldn't want us to return from our trip! We hope to go on another family trip in the coming years. Thank you Nikki.
Nikki has taken good care our pups. One is special needs due to IVDD and the other is reactive for around 15 min when meeting a new person. She handled both well and I could tell from when she did an initial visit she was talented with dogs. I would not hesitate to have her sit our dogs again.
Nikki is amazing. I’ve never had a vacation where I didn’t worry once about my pups or the house. Nikki kept great contact, sent photos, and took great care of them. She’s worth every penny. Thanks Nikki!
We have two dogs that are polar opposites with one being reactive and the other having separation anxiety. Our first overnight away with a sitter in the home went spectacular 10/10 recommend. Came home to both dogs calm and relaxed. Nikki is the best!

Nikki did a great job taking care of Lyla, I will definitely be rebooking. I trust Nikki to make safe choices with Lyla out on adventures, and to keep up our progress toward our training goals. I also trust Nikki’s judgement handling any medical event that might come up while I’m gone.

Schedule
I am self employed and have a flexible schedule. As a result I can arrange my time to best suit your and your dog’s schedule. Your dog will not be left alone for long periods of time.
