Hi, I'm Nikhita and I'd love to meet your furbaby! I have been taking care of my friends' pets for the last 10 years and would like to be friends with more cats and dogs. My husband and I have a cat, Tuxtables, and he brings us great joy; so I understand the special place our pets hold in our heart and will watch your pet like they're my own. I am very good at engaging with cats and dogs (even shy ones!) and getting them to play with me. I have experience in giving cats and dogs supplements and pill medication as well. I also have experience with rabbits, hamsters, fish and turtles so you make contact me for caring for them as well.

I had a 10 day vacation planned. This was my first time using Rover and having a cat sitter. Nikhita was great and really informative. My cat Starry enjoyed hanging out with her cat Tux so much that he hid from me when I arrived to pick him up 😭. I appreciated that Nikhita provided me with daily updates about him in addition to photos and videos. Would definitely do this again for my next vacation
My baby stayed with Nikita for 3 days, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was incredibly communicative, responded promptly to every message, answered all of my questions, and kept me updated with lots of adorable photos throughout the stay. Knowing he was in such loving and capable hands gave me complete peace of mind while I was away, I highly recommend Nikita to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

Schedule
I am available in Downtown Manhattan and Jersey City. I work a 9-5 job and have a hybrid schedule where I'm in the office 3x a week. I will try to work with you to find the best schedule for your pet.

Safety, trust & environment
I would like to set up a meet and greet so we can get properly acquainted and I can learn your and your pets' requirements. I will be very respectful of all your house and building rules when it comes to caring for your pet. If you need me to water plants or bring small packages up, I can do that as well as part of the drop in visit. We have a cat at home and are fully equipped for visits from cats. I have also cared for dogs in my home and our cat gets along with them. Should your pet need it, we have a 2nd bedroom that has plenty of room for them to enjoy their privacy. We can make them a special safe area until they feel comfortable to explore the entire house.
Pets
A typical day
I love engaging pets in play, be it cats or dogs and as long as they're willing! I enjoy walks by the water front and visiting dog parks. If your dog has any places they love, I'd love to take them there.
