When I am on leave from work, I am available at home full-time and can dedicate my attention to your pet throughout the day. This allows me to maintain their usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, rest periods and plenty of companionship. I enjoy spending time outdoors and regularly visit local walking areas such as Brynna Woods and Smilog Woods. Depending on your dog's preferences and energy levels, I can also provide longer walks, park visits and beach outings. I only accept one household's dog at a time, ensuring your pet receives individual attention and a calm environment.

Your pet's safety and wellbeing are my highest priorities. My wife and I live in a spacious home with a secure fenced back garden, providing a safe environment for dogs to relax, play and explore. We also share our home with our friendly domestic shorthair cat, Simba, who is comfortable around dogs that respect her space. Before every booking, I take time to understand your pet's routine, preferences, dietary requirements and any special instructions. My wife is a medical doctor and is happy to assist with routine medications if required, providing additional reassurance for owners whose pets may need ongoing treatment during their stay. I only accept one household's dog at a time, ensuring your pet receives individual attention, plenty of supervision and a calm environment. I will also provide regular photo and video updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, comfortable and well cared for.

Please tell us about your pet’s personality, daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, likes and dislikes, and any medical conditions or medications they may require. The more I know beforehand, the better I can make their stay comfortable and enjoyable. For the safety and wellbeing of all pets in our care, We only accept dogs that are fully vaccinated and free from fleas and ticks, or currently receiving appropriate preventative treatment. As We share my home with our friendly cat, Simba, I can only accept dogs that are comfortable around cats or willing to peacefully ignore them. Simba is accustomed to respectful dogs and generally keeps to herself. Please also provide: • Your regular veterinary practice details • An emergency contact number • Pet insurance details (if available) • Any allergies, dietary restrictions, behavioural concerns or special requirements To ensure a calm and personalised experience, We only accept one household’s dogs at a time, allowing me to give your pet my full attention, supervision and care throughout their stay. We ensure to arrange a meet and greet with your furry friends and yourselves with us and Simba as well to get to know each other if we are boarding them home.
A typical day
When I’m home on leave, your dog will be part of our daily routine. The day usually starts with a toilet break and breakfast, followed by a walk around the local area or one of the nearby woodland trails such as Brynna Woods or Smilog Woods. Back at home, there is plenty of time to relax, snooze, explore the garden, or simply keep me company while I go about my day. I try to maintain a good balance of exercise, playtime and downtime. Depending on your dog’s age and energy level, we may enjoy a longer walk, a trip to a local park, or a dog-friendly beach. In the evenings, it’s usually time to unwind with the family, enjoy some fuss and attention, and settle down for a comfortable night’s sleep. Every dog is different, so I adapt their day to match the routine they’re used to at home, helping them feel relaxed, secure and happy throughout their stay.

Nijo & Jenny Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up in a home with multiple dogs and cats and have cared for pets for many years. Over time, I have looked after and cared for dogs ranging from small breeds to large breeds, each with their own unique personalities, needs and routines. As a Merchant Navy Officer, I have 2 mo tha rotation, where I am onboard for 2-3 and at home on leave for 2-3 months. During my leave periods, I am home full-time for up to two months at a stretch, allowing me to provide plenty of companionship, exercise and supervision. My wife and I are both passionate animal lovers and regularly help friends with their dogs. Due to my work pattern we are unable to get a dog ourselves currently but we try to compensate that by lending a hand to our friends with pets. We understand that every pet is different, and we strive to provide a safe, loving and stress-free home away from home where pets are treated as part of the family. We ourselves use rover when we go for vacations and understand the situation, we strive to create a second home for your furry friends and would be part of our family.
