I have 5 years of experience and I have loved taking care of dogs, cats and other pets. I am versed in basic training techniques and love to spend my time enriching pet's lives. I currently have a small dog that is spayed and very friendly with people, other dogs, and cats. I work from home so I’m pretty flexible and able to provide loving care and attention to your pets. My husband is very supportive too and grew up around dogs from a young age. We live close to a wonderful dog park, a lot of green spaces, and the Montrose Dog Beach.

Nicolle is exceptionally caring and truly has a way with animals. She has been petsitting my kitty on a few occasions whenever I need to travel, and has truly made me comfortable with leaving him at home. Radish has really bad separation anxiety and I've always been worried about finding someone who would be able to take proper care of him, but Nicolle was able to bond with him really fast. She sent me regular pictures and videos of him playing and snuggling throughout the day, which made me that much more relieved. I would 100% recommend Nicolle to anyone who is still anxious about choosing someone to care for their kittens.
Nicolle D. is in tune with what animals need. When she greets my dog Charley she gets down to his level and pets him and speaks to him. He enjoys her so much that he runs to greet her when she arrives to take care of him. She is reliable and cheerful. I can depend on her to follow detailed instructions for my pets medication needs and storm anxiety. I am so grateful for her expert help.

Schedule
Working remotely so I have a pretty flexible schedule and routine. I am looking to take advantage of my current flexibility by doing what I love, making pets happy. My small dog goes out 3-4 times a day and loves to go on runs, and I can provide high energy dogs the exercise and play they need. My husband works part time and also loves to help take care of pets in our home.

I am studying to be a counselor and really care about proving a safe space to people and pets. I am detail-oriented and used to effectively adhering to the owner's guidelines. I'm also a strong believer in regular updates including several photos. I know how to adapt to the dog's unique needs, like extra care, avoiding possible triggers, or providing extra attention and medication.

A typical day
I love being outside, staying active, and giving dogs the exercise they need. I love to take them in long walks or runs to the lakefront. I live close to the Montrose dog beach, so if your dog is comfortable with other dogs and spaces like that, I love a good beach day. I love playing different games with pets as well, games that fit their natural instincts and challenge them mentally. I like to keep walks different by taking them to several different spots. I also enjoy playing with their toys and giving them lots of attention because I treat it as a play date for both of us.
