I grew up with a golden retriever. Later in life, my family adopted a Siamese senior cat. After she passed, we adopted a chatty young adult tuxedo cat! I shared the responsibilities of caring for these pets with my family, and loved their companionship so much, that I recently adopted a calico of my own. Going on walks, picking up poop, cleaning litter boxes, and being on-time for feedings are no stranger to me. I have taken care of my neighbor’s cat while she’s away, extending the time of care when she got stuck in a snowstorm a few hours away. I have taken care of my partner’s family dog when we visit, going on long walks and enjoying the sunshine together. I would love to do the same for your furry (or not furry if they are bald) loved one :)

Safety, trust & environment
I am very careful about closing doors behind me to make sure no one gets out by accident. Trash/plastic from cleaning up litter boxes would be kept away from the floor and/or disposed of outside, if you have another trash, to make sure it doesn’t get eaten by accident. Happy to learn how to use your crate/kennel if you prefer to have your pet in one overnight.

Nikki was amazing with our 8 year old Cavachon, Coco, while we were out and about and still adjusting to a big move! She was extremely responsive, kind, personable, and sent us pictures when we were gone. We couldn’t ask for anyone better! Thank you Nikki!!

Nikki has cat sat for me several times and done an excellent job! My cat is pretty old and solitary, but loves having Nikki come over when we're out of town for a some pets and treats. Nikki is responsible, communicative, and willing to go the extra mile for us and our pets!

Schedule
I will be working part-time over the summer, but this won’t take up my whole day. I would be available in the morning ~7am, the afternoon ~2-3pm, and evening ~6-7pm for feedings and water changes, 30min-1hr walks, play time, and picture updates (if you’d like).
