Safety, trust & environment

*If your pet will be ridding in my van ie to parks, the groomer, vet etc I do require them to wear a harness to be clipped on to pet seat belts. *Exterior doors are shut and locked after entering and exiting your residents. *I safety check harness / collars and leashes before each walk. *On extra hot days I carry water/bowl. *I walk pets on natural terrains as much as possible even if pet shoes are a normal accessory for your pet. *I keep my food and items in totes or suit cases to avoid pet access. *Keeping open quick communication with the owner.

Information Nicole W. would like to know about your pet

*Any allergies not just for the pet but also with in the household if I will be staying in your home. *Your pets Triggers, leash manners, quirks, favorite type of activities, any needs outside the basic care and what that entails.

A typical day

I enjoy think play and silly play games. outside the usual fetch. toy plays. I like introducing new games that play along with what your pet is already into. I find an entertained pet is a focused pet that is having fun.

Pet care experience

I would love to take your dog on local hikes, and to the parks with me! I offer a many services for the well being of you and your pet(s). House-sitting, Drop-ins, walks, shuttle services to the vet, groom etc. appointments. I am a retired preschool teacher and Seattle Parks Lead counselor. I grew up with animals, training and connecting with dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, rats, cows, horses, chickens and even turtles. I am therefore very experienced with understanding the temperaments of individual animals, and how they can work well with each other. I also have a lot of experience in teaching dogs great manners, and redirecting problem behaviors such as chasing, over-reactive and fear responses. I use positive reinforcement and markers, So if you need help to give your dog extra exercise and stimulation during the day, let me know. I look forward to meeting you and your pet[s].
