Availability

I currently work full time during the weekdays, so pets staying in my home may be alone during standard work hours Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. My husband works from home on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and we’re typically home by late afternoon most days (around 3–5pm). If your pet needs a midday potty break or lunch visit, I can usually accommodate that.

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, your dog will have access to a fully fenced yard and a calm, comfortable environment. Every other week, there are two respectful children (ages 6 and 9) in the home who are very familiar with dogs and are always reminded to give new pets space and let them warm up at their own pace. I prioritize making pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while they’re away from home. I prefer to schedule a meet-and-greet before any overnight stays so we can make sure it’s a great fit for everyone. It’s also a good opportunity to walk through your pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs so they can have the smoothest, most comfortable stay possible

Information Nicole P. would like to know about your pet

Please feel free to share anything that helps me care for your pet successfully — including medical needs, medications, feeding routines, crate training, leash behavior, social preferences, separation anxiety, or any behavioral quirks. The more I know ahead of time, the better experience I can provide for both you and your pet!

A typical day

A typical day with me includes a balance of play, relaxation, and routine. We’ll spend time outside in my fenced yard, go for walks around my quiet neighborhood, or head to a local park if your dog enjoys new sights and smells. I tailor each day to your pet’s personality and energy level — whether that means a game of fetch, sniffy strolls, or just lots of cuddle time on the couch. Your dog will have their own safe, cozy space to relax, and they’re welcome to sleep in a crate or their own bed if you provide it. I follow your feeding and potty routines closely and will always make sure they feel secure, stimulated, and loved while you’re away.

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Nicole! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I grew up with dogs, cats, ducks, and chickens and worked at a local pet store during high school and college. I also cared for my own two dogs well into their senior years (15 and 16 years old), so I understand the patience, compassion, and attention to detail that pets need throughout every stage of life. I regularly house sit for family pets, including multi-pet households with dogs and cats, and I’m comfortable managing feeding schedules, medications, walks, potty breaks, and individualized care for each pet. Whether it’s a quick drop-in, a long walk, or overnight care, I treat every animal like part of the family.

The Empress was treated like a princess. She came home wagging, her chalice of love was full. While we quested on behalf of her Empire she was not idle. She now has a level 10 back leg kick. Which enables her to kick a hairbrush out of the air and send it flying across the room. Furthermore she refrained from eating any craft supplies while we were away. Her ancestors would be proud! 5 out of 5 would book Nicole P. and family again.

My dog is an older rescue dog, whose breed typically suffers from separation anxiety. From the start, I immediately got a good vibe off Nicole and felt confidence in her abilities to address any anxieties that may crop up owner wise or dog wise. Nicole checked in daily with updates regarding my dog’s assimilation into her family. All in all I would say my dog seemed quite happy at Nicole’s and definitely enjoyed his vacation as well. I recommend the Nicole highly.
