Information Nicole M. would like to know about your pet

What does the dog like/dislike? Do they hate their ears touched? Do they dislike people wearing hats? Do they try to run through open doors? No breed preferences. I strongly believe that all dogs are a product of their owners.

A typical day

Dogs are companions. I like to interact with them continuously throughout the day. When I walk the dogs, I usually use a GPS app so you can see the path we took. I can take a leisurely stroll around the block or run with the high energy dogs.

Pet care experience

I'm currently staying home to raise my kids, but I miss working with animals. My goal is to help owners feel confident in the care of their pet when they are away. I'm available to care for your pet in my home during the days and evenings. If you don't need a full day of care, I can stop by your house for potty breaks and walks and to keep your pet company while you're at work. I have experiene with cats and dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I have experience with reptiles, livestock, and birds as well! Along with caring for my own pets and foster animals, I have 5 years experience as a Vet Tech in a well respected No-Kill shelter in Southern California. My experience ranges from bottle feeding newborns to administering meds to cranky seniors. I'm skilled in behavior assessments, intake exams, medicating (eyes, ears, oral, and injectables), cleaning, feeding, walking, safe pet-to-pet interactions, vaccinating, microchipping, exit exams, restraint, radiology, blood draws, etc. I attended several in-house workshops including radiology, euthanization, animal first aid, animal cpr, neonatal care, successful dog to dog interaction, feral cat education, disease control, etc. I have a deep love for all animals and believe all animals are members of the family. I treat animals and their homes with respect and patience. A happy animal is a happy owner. Why I love dog sitting I think I've loved dogs longer than I can remember. My Christmas lists as a kid always included supplies for homeless pets. I donate money when I can and I'm definitely the person that tries to catch every stray animal. When the weather turns gross I make small shelters for the strays to keep warm and safe in. My experience administering medication Yep, that was a HUGE portion of my work at the Humane Society. Thankfully I am able to spend my time as a stay at home mom so a great deal of my weekdays are spent at home. If you choose to board your pet with me, they will have constant human companions. I have a fenced yard and live in a quiet cul-de-sac that's tucked away from main roads. If your dog stays with me, I have extra dog beds, blankets, and leashes. Dogs are allowed outside as often as they want and if owners allow, pets are allowed on the couch. When walking dogs, I always practice leash manners and use redirection to curb pulling/lunging. I am mindful of my surroundings and avoid other dogs and people while walking.
