Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—dogs, cats, small animals, you name it. I truly can’t function without animals around me! My home naturally becomes a mini dog park, and I love getting to know the unique personalities that come through. We currently have two dogs: Billie, our loving, friendly couch potato with a soft spot for everyone she meets, and Dwight, our playful boxer teen dog who keeps the energy high and the fun going. When your dog stays with us, I do my best to keep their routine as consistent and comforting as possible. Dogs are welcome on the couch and bed (just like home!), and I even have toddler beds they can get cozy on. If your dog is used to sleeping with you, I’m happy to continue that routine to make them feel secure. I’m also happy to take them on walks and follow any specific feeding or potty schedules you have in place. To help make each stay smooth and stress-free, I do ask for a few details ahead of time. Please let me know if your dog is fully potty trained or partially there—I’m totally fine with cleaning up accidents but it helps to be prepared. If your dog needs to be crated when unsupervised, I ask that you provide a kennel. I also really appreciate a heads up on any behavioral quirks or needs—things like anxiety, reactivity, or sensitivities—so I can give them the best care and keep everyone safe and comfortable. We have small children in the home, so visiting dogs should be okay around kids. We’re also in the process of fencing and landscaping our backyard. For now, all outdoor time is on-leash in our front yard for potty breaks and sniff sessions. I’ll be sure to update once the fenced yard is ready—hopefully by the end of the year! I keep in touch with updates throughout your dog’s stay. I like to share how they’re eating, how they’re getting along with other dogs, and whether they’re showing signs of stress or starting to relax. My schedule is flexible & I have Rover as my main source of work, so if anything changes or you have a special request, just let me know—I’m always happy to accommodate!
