Pet care experience

Experienced sitter.

I have B.S. degrees in both zoology and marine biology and have three years cumulative experience working as a veterinary technician. I began pet sitting in 2008 and have taken care of a variety of dogs (and cats and a few other critters) over the years. I pet sit because I love dogs and cats but due to how much I travel I don't have any pets of my own, so being able to meet and spend time with cute and fun animals is something I very much enjoy.

Safety, trust & environment

I don't have a regular day time job so I am available to be with your pet pretty much all of the time. I'm single and would never bring another person into your home (except with specific permission, though that wouldn't happen unless I become un-single). And I would never leave your pet in the care of someone other than myself.

Nicole did a great job taking care of our pups and our home for a 10 day trip. Great communication and daily updates. Looking forward to having you sit for us again.

Nicole was amazing with our girls! One of ours dogs is still a puppy still so we were a little nervous about having someone sit them but we're so glad we did -- both of them loved her & she sent the cutest pics of their day together. Thank you!

Nicole was amazing!!!!!!!! My girl Moochi takes time warming up to people and Nicole let her go at her own pace and allow her to get comfortable with her. Nicole was great about sending photos and updates which I really appreciated since this was our first time leaving Moochi with anyone but family. Put us at ease knowing Moochi was in good hands and being well taken care of. Nicole went above and beyond for our animals and family and I could not recommend her more to anyone needing just a dog walk or house sitting!!!!!

Nicole is fantastic! She's dogsat our two pups twice now and has done a great job both times. She's communicative and sends lot of photos to reassure this paranoid dog mom. This past trip our dogs didn't even care that we were leaving and didn't seem to miss us when we got back. They were more than happy to hang out with Nicole, and that's saying something since our old gal takes a long while to warm up to people. You definitely can't go wrong with booking Nicole!

Schedule

I am generally unable to book anything more than a month in advance unfortunately. My primary job is working as a marine biologist in the offshore wind farm industry and I am often gone for a couple of weeks to a couple months at a time. I try to keep my rover availability calendar as up to date as possible. But when I'm in between boat contracts and at home, I don't work at all and am available full time for pet sitting.

Things that are important for me to know ahead of time about your pet are their dietary requirements, any medical needs, and what your daily routine is. And also how good they are with other dogs, like if it would be ok or not to go to a dog park or beach or somewhere where there would be other dogs around.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
