Availability
I work from home so have a very flexible schedule and can take your dog out as frequently as needed. I also work east coast hours so I finish my day around 3pm and am available for check ins and longer walks in the afternoons. I enjoy walking but will always adapt to your dog’s pace and energy level.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a two bedroom apartment by myself so your dog will have plenty of room to roam and plenty of attention from me. I live less than a mile from Cheesman Park so if your dog has lots of energy, we have plenty of place to walk to. This house has no rules in terms of furniture, nothing is off limits. I allow dogs to roam the full apartment when left alone unless you don’t want them to or don’t recommend. My apartment does have plenty of rooms so if your dog cannot be crated, I have larger rooms where I can still confine them if needed. I had a dog who could not be crated when he was young so I’m familiar with blocking off certain areas to keep him safe.

Information Nicole G. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I can account for. My old dog went through 4 years of training so I have plenty of techniques to keep a dog mentally and physically stimulated and entertained.
A typical day
I will adapt to whatever activities your dog likes. If you have a lazy pup who likes slow sniff walks, that’s what we’ll do. Food motivated? We’ll do puzzle toys and maybe work on some tricks. High energy, we’ll walk the day away. My apartment complex does have a fenced in area where we can play fetch, I do only use that area when no other dogs are in the area.

Pet care experience
My senior dog crossed the rainbow bridge May 5th and while I’m not ready to adopt another dog yet, I do want dogs in my life again. My previous dog was dog reactive so I am familiar with dealing with dog reactivity. Additionally, I volunteered at Humane Colorado (formerly Dumb Friends League) for a year walking dogs so I’m familiar walking and interacting with a variety of dogs with various “quirks”. My old dog required a lot of medication including injections at the end so I am able to administer medications both orally and injections.
Reviews
I would trust Nicole with any of my dogs. She is a reliable and experienced dog sitter/walker who truly cares about the dogs she cares for. After adopting her last dog, she learned he had separation anxiety and was reactive around other dogs. She spent years working with him 1:1, and now he can free roam the house and safely play with my 9 month old puppy. Nicole loves dogs and has the experience to give your pet great care while you’re away. She gives you peace of mind knowing your dog is with someone you can trust.
Nicole is very responsible and reliable. Her love for animals, especially dogs, is incredibly evident in everything she does. She truly went above and beyond for her dog, Meeko, throughout every stage of his life. When she got Meeko, he was extremely traumatized and full of anxiety. She worked with her vets, and with Meeko, to find a solution to his significant anxieties, and create a safe and loving space for the rest of his life. If Nicole cares for your pet with even 10% of the love she showed hers, she’ll be the best petsitter you’ve ever had.
